This Will Gasparino kid from UCLA is having a monster start. Is he a legit draft prospect? Plays outfield which the Sox obviously need.

Yeah, nobody is taking Benintendi’s contract. It’s whatever at this point. They might as well keep him for this season. If he has another dud year, hopefully they cut the cord early in 2027.

Watching him pitch, you can tell he has potential. But he also has way too many uncompetitive pitches. I just don’t think they will have room to roster him. If this was last year or the year before, he probably makes the team.

I’d prioritize Baldwin over Kelenic, but that’s just me.

Doesn’t seem like Benintendi will be in the outfield all that much. In that case, there should be consistent at-bats for Baldwin in one of the corners. Let him play one position consistently and hopefully he’ll improve defensively.

Baldwin getting sent down would tick me off. He has already proved everything there is to prove in AAA. He needs regular at-bats at the MLB level.

Agreed. Hopefully Kay pitches well enough to get traded for something and then one of the prospects takes his spot.

Burke and Fedde better pitch well because there are a lot of guys coming for their spots.

Well Jerry would be out of the picture by the time Murakami’s contract is over if they extend him. And honestly, even if Murakami is good but not great, all the Japanese attention and sponsorships will pay for that contract in no time. I’m just tired of the perpetual rebuild mentality where they ship out anyone worth a damn. Time to start building a winning team.

The clock on Jerry is ticking, and even if you assume he’s immortal, this team has ZERO guaranteed contracts on the books after 2027. They could give Murakami whatever AAV he’s looking for and their payroll would still be nothing. There is no excuse to not keep him if he’s as advertised.

Or you can open the checkbook to keep good players on your team for years to come. That’s an idea too.

ReyLo was never on the Red Sox. But still, being teammates on 5 different teams would be crazy.

I really hope he can help recruit Seiya to the Sox next offseason.

If the Sox who could turn Adrian Houser, who was never really any good into a quality pitcher, I have faith that they can fix Fedde who they have already fixed before. I would have preferred someone better obviously, but whatever.
