White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
Just take the most talented player and worry about the rest later. If they deem Roch as the best player in this class, they should take him.

I like KenWo. I don’t always agree with him but he’s a true fan and he knows his stuff.

I still don’t know how it could be anyone other than Roch. It shouldn’t take him that long to get to MLB and the fact that he’s right handed is a nice bonus too. I would understand Emerson if his upside was significantly higher, but I don’t think that’s the case.

White Sox - Injury Tracker
Seems like one of those players that will never stay healthy. Kind of wish they didn’t trade Hill.

6/17 GT - White Sox @ Yankees (6:05pm CST)
I can’t watch Kay in the rotation for much longer. He’s a situational lefty at best.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
He’s been pitching like a #1 lately. His ceiling is definitely higher than a back end rotation guy.

Trading for Gray would remind me of the Lance Lynn trade. A proven veteran who eats innings and protects the younger pitchers. If they do this, I would like them to sign him to a short term extension like they did with Lynn. Maybe 2 years or something.

GT 6/16 Sox @ Yankees 6:05 (CDT)
They have no payroll obligations after 2027 and they know exactly what the weaknesses of this roster are now. They need to use the vast majority of their resources on pitching this offseason.

What about Braxton Ashcraft in Pittsburgh? I was looking through rosters and he caught my eye. He’s a little older, but he’s performing well and has a ton of team control. The Pirates also have a lot of pitching so maybe they’d move him. I’m guessing that would take Bonemer as well though.

You Never Have Enough Pitching
Do you actually want Thome in the second? Or do you think they will just take him there because of Jim’s connections to the team?

You Never Have Enough Pitching
I wouldn’t be mad if they pulled an Angels and drafted pitching with every pick (after #1 of course). Maybe sprinkle in a couple outfielders too, but pitching is definitely the biggest need of this organization currently.

I like Urena. Good call.

I think they will ultimately end up trading Webb but they might as well not reveal their plans yet. There’s still like 6 weeks until the deadline. Getz should be calling them consistently about Webb.

I’d like to know more info on Berroa. He made one rehab appearance in Arizona, pitched to one batter, got pulled, and then there hasn’t been any info on him since.

I guess it depends how highly you think of Roch, but to get 2.5 seasons of Webb AND Flora for just him feels like a good deal to me.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
I hadn’t thought of this, but it’s an interesting idea especially since the Giants covet Roch.

6/13 GT - White Sox vs. Dodgers (3:10pm CST)
Guys like Murphy, Rock, Eisert aren’t MLB caliber relievers. It’s embarrassing to even have these guys on the roster.

Gray is an interesting idea. If they want a veteran who can eat innings, he definitely fits that category. And he’s still productive. I can’t imagine the Sox would pick up that $30 million option next year, but perhaps they could agree on a different contract after the season. Like you said, he shouldn’t cost all that much prospect wise.

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
At this point, I think we can all agree that this team should be buyers to at least some extent at the deadline. So with that in mind, I thought it would be nice to have a central place to share trade ideas, rumors, proposals, etc Ready, go.

Trading Grichuk would be insane. He’s been fantastic since he got here and is one of the best in the league against lefties. They can’t get rid of him.

6/11 GT - White Sox vs. Braves (6:40pm)
Hope they can get this one in. The Braves don’t come back obviously and they are without Acuna and Baldwin. Now is the time you want to play them.

He makes me miss Schriffen. At least he talks about the game going on in front of him.

6/7 Games
I was just following along on Gameday. I know his velo towards the end of his starts has been a topic of conversation so I was keeping an eye on it.

6/7 Games
Hagen’s velo has been better today FWIW. Touched 96 in the 4th.
