  1. Winner winner chicken dinner! It's so nice to have a dominant closer again.
  2. Robertson is pure filth. Wow.
  3. This baserunning is atrocious.
  4. Q didn't have his great stuff today, but he kept the Sox in the game. That's all you can ask from a starting pitcher.
  5. Carrasco got destroyed right there. Hopefully he is ok. I hate to see stuff like that.
  6. I'm hoping the Sox can split this series, and then take 2/3 from Detroit. I'm not optimistic, but who knows, maybe they'll surprise us.
  7. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 09:22 PM) No like a Corey Seager, or a Xander Bogaerts, Colin Mottram Even those guys would demand a high return in a trade IMO.
  8. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 06:00 PM) Nobody plays harder than this dude so what could there possibly be to worry about? Are you worried about something specific OP? No, not particularly. He just doesn't seem like himself lately and his approach at the plate is way off. It seems as if he is trying to hit everything in the air, when he should be slapping the ball around like he did last year. It isn't a question of his effort, because I know he gives everything he's got each and every day, but I just don't understand why the results aren't showing for him.
  9. QUOTE (shipps @ Apr 13, 2015 -> 05:08 PM) He is fine. He is a guy who may press a little bit and try to do too much. I definitely notice that in him as well. Another factor might be that he feels like he has to do something more than what he did last year to deserve the contract extension he got in the offseason.
  10. I know we're only 6 games in, but man, Eaton has looked horrible so far both defensively (except for that 1 amazing catch in KC) and offensively (.080 BA 2/25, 0 SB, 1 CS, 0 BB, 2 K). Is it time to start worrying about him, or is it just an early season funk that he's in? He is supposed to be to the table setter for this lineup, and he hasn't been doing his job at all.
  11. I was at the game today, and I was pretty impressed with all aspects of the game for the Sox. The base running definitely has to improve, as well at the situational hitting. Guerra also didn't look good today, but Jennings picked him up.
  12. Robertson was amazing. Wow!
  13. QUOTE (Baron @ Apr 11, 2015 -> 03:32 PM) Bullpen time...good time to put Putnam and his 88mph fastball out there Hopefully Duke is out there against Mauer.
  14. Samardzija really hasn't been bad today with the exception of the 2nd inning.
  15. Soto with the BOMB!!! Flowers, your job will be gone soon.
  16. I like Soto so much more than Flowers.
  17. This is what we want to see!
  18. LaRoche!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I'm supposed to go to the game on Sunday and I don't even want to go anymore.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 05:16 PM) Could you imagine after all of the moves, optimism, and ticket sales, if this team starts out 9-19? It would be o-vah.... At this point, they could start out 0-19 and I wouldn't be surprised.
  21. Coleman didn't do squat apparently. This team is worse on the bases this year than they were last year.
  22. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 10, 2015 -> 04:02 PM) LMAO! How does he hit a bomb one game and then look like crap? He always looks like crap. He just gets lucky once in awhile.
  23. This team is god damn trash.
  24. If the Sox don't take at least 2/3 from the Twinkies this weekend, I will be extremely disappointed.
  25. Nice heads up play by Abreu right there. Saved a run for sure.
