GT: Sox vs Royals 3:10 PM CHSN
Houser has been great. I can't help but wonder if he is going to be traded at the deadline.

Ishbia taking control by 2029?
Do you really think JR would have taken on a new owner/investor who was broke? JR eats, sleeps and drinks money. He doesn't mingle with people who are broke.

Ishbia taking control by 2029?
I read an interview with Getz today and he said he doesn't expect the team to be good for at least 3 years. I hope this new owner/investor of the team first bit of action is too kick Getz in his rear end out the door.

Teel being called up
Jerome Howard (Curly) was my boyhood idol. The parents of a friend of mine actually met Curly in the mid 1940s. They said he was crazy.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I keep reading that there is a chance of the White Sox moving to Nashville with the new ownership. Who's building and paying for a new stadium in Nashville?

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
Todays Sun Times seems to think the Michael Reese location would be a better site for the new White Sox stadium. I don't many people would agree with that. That being said I'm told by a real good source that the Bears don't have the money ($5 billion dollars) for the new stadium in Arlington Heights. They want some investors to put money into buying parts of the Bears. There are enough investors willing to do that but those investors want some say so in running the team. The Bears don' t want to give up control of the team. I would think that the Ishbia family could work something out with the Bears where they would own a part of the Bears and get a new baseball stadium in Arlington Heights. I don't know if the White Sox fan base would be happy with a Arlington Heights location.

Ishbia taking control by 2029?
Other than the South Loop what other location is there? Maybe Rosemont?

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I would think it would be a mistake if their wasn't any parking. Alot of their fan base from the suburbs come in their car. One of the reasons why I go to White Sox games is because the parking lots are great.

Is there going to be any place to park your car?

Column on "rebuilding"...
Rebuilding is another word for losing on purpose. 8 members of the 1919 White Sox were thrown out of MLB for taking money to lose on purpose. JR is doing the same thing. With the low payroll the team has ,he is losing on purpose and making nothing but money in doing so.

I'm just bringing the video to everybodys attention on this site. I think there is a better chance of Portland getting a team.

Speculation on Youtube channel that if the Rays don't go to Orlando the White Sox are being mentioned for Orlando. The Youtube channel is Brodie Brazil.

Vaughn/Elko updates...
I'm hoping Elko is in the lineup the rest of the season. Hopefully he will show the organization he belongs on the team.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I would feel alot better about this situation if JR announced what he was going to do. Whether it be a new stadium at some location or stay at the present location or whatever else. I'm really starting to worry about this team staying in the Chicagoland area.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
Didn't the last Orioles owner (who died a few months ago) have some arrangement with the minority owner that he was running the team until the old owner died. And isn't that what happened.

He has been hiding for a long time. I would like to see the team have a regular Soxfest and have a seminar with JR taking questions from the fans. It would turn out to be a riot.

Column on "rebuilding"...
That is not the case here with JR. The team lost 121 games in 2024 and he did nothing to improve the team this past off season. It doesn't say much for his character. He's laughing all the way to the bank with this teams low payroll. He hasn't given any indication that he wants to improve the team.

Assuming Ishbia wants to buy the rest of the White Sox stock and will pay for the new stadium, I would hope JR has the decency to sell the team to him. The sooner the better.

Vaughn/Elko updates...
I take it that the game plan is to trade some of their pitching for some hitters.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
I'm sure the team has tried numerous things to get Luis Robert Jr hitting again. Nothing has worked. It seems to me that he had more success as a hitter when he was just know as Luis Robert. Perhaps he should drop the Jr from his name.

I read elsewhere that a new White Sox stadium at the 78 location would only cost $400 million. If that is accurate I would think it would be built there.

Vaughn/Elko updates...
Obviously Elko doesn't fit into the plans of the White Sox.

6/1 Sox @ Orioles 12:35 PM
I really wouldn't be surprised if that happened.
-
6/1 Sox @ Orioles 12:35 PM
Has it dawned on you that this organization doesn't care if it keeps losing games? The team lost 121 games last year and did nothing to improve the team this past off season. All they had to do is spend some money on some hitters and this team wouldn't be 3-15 in one run games. The main objective for this ownership is to get the payroll as low as possible.

6/1 Sox @ Orioles 12:35 PM
Ozzie said changes are coming this week, maybe tomorrow. Perhaps Teel and Elko will be brought up.
