  1. Lets hope that something happens soon. Most White Sox fans aren't too optimistic about things turning around under the present ownership. I couldn't help but notice on Ticketmaster that the White Sox home opener has thousands of unsold tickets. New ownership would provide some hope for the future.
  2. When the White Sox agreed to stay in Chicago in the late 1980s and not move to Florida, JR said that having a team in Florida was a better business model than staying in Chicago.
  3. I thought some news would breakout by now. Still hoping we hear something today.
  4. If Braden Montgomery has a great spring training perhaps he is the new left fielder.
  5. Always remember I' m the WBWSF (Worlds Biggest White Sox Fan)
  6. I'm excited for another year of White Sox baseball. Its a new year and i'm hoping for better things in 2025. I renewed my season tickets recently and I'm looking forward to Opening Day 2025.
  7. I've read where something major will happen this Friday the 28th. I don't know how true it is but I can't help but wonder when this whole situation will be determined. I think that most White Sox fans want JR to sell the team. I'm hoping this is done sooner rather than later.
  8. I can't help but wonder if all of this is really going to happen.
  9. It would have made more sense to sign Trevor Bauer.
  10. I've always thought that one of the reasons it has not been developed is because there is only one way in and out of there. You can't enter or exit from the east, west or south.
  11. The present ownership has no intention of renewing the lease at the present stadium. I doubt that new ownership will want to renew the lease so it will be curious to see how this plays out.
  12. I'm hoping he's the starting second baseman on Opening Day.
  13. I'm not as down on the team as yourself and others are. I like the starting pitching rotation. I'm hoping that Montgomery, Meidroth, Quero and Teel provide something positive this season. If that happens things can turn around. The only thing I'm down about is the bullpen. I was hoping they would add some pieces to the bullpen this off season.
  14. Its sure been quiet about new stadiums for the White Sox and Bears.
  15. I don't know if a salary cap will ever be accomplished. Maybe something will be done about paying players with deferred money. I think the Dodgers have over $1 billion on the books in deferred payments.
  16. A temporary renewal might happen if something is being constructed but if its not being built in the South Loop, where else would it be built?
  17. Its going to be interesting to see how this plays out. The present ownership does not want to renew the lease at the present stadium. If there is new ownership maybe they might think differently about staying at the present stadium.
  18. Greg Maddux went into the HOF with no logo on his hat. I was hoping that Dick Allen would do the same thing.
  19. White Sox fans should remember that the South Loop Stadium location was offered to JR in the 1980s and he turned down the offer. He wanted to build a stadium in Addison where he just happened to own the land.
  20. It is certainly not a pleasant thing being a White Sox fan now. I try not taking it too seriously. The ownership is content with this losing situation and there's nothing White Sox fans can do about it.
  21. It seems to me this ownership is happy with the low payroll and the losing team. With the low payroll the White Sox are going to be very profitable for the ownership.
  22. Getz mentioned he seems to think the 2 young lefty pitchers will be here sooner rather than later which should make the team better. In the meantime whos's going to pitch in the bullpen who is any good? The team lacks hitting. Who's going to hit and drive in runs? This just looks to me like its going to be years before this thing ever gets turned around. Becoming the new version of the old St. Louis Browns doesn't appeal to most fans.
  23. I don't like the present White Sox becoming the new version of the St. Louis Browns. Its obvious that ownership is happy with the low payroll and the losing teams.
  24. I realize that Getz was not going to sign Santander or anybody else worth having. Still. I can't help but wonder, who is going to be the White Sox DH in 2025?
  25. He has run the team into the ground but is making nothing but money for the investors with this low team payroll.
