5/18 Gamethread...
I've never seen a player like Robert Jr totally collapse as a hitter. Older players, yes, Robert Jr is young and he looks like he couldn't hit me. What Happened to him? Was it his injuries?. If he keeps this up he might be out of baseball next year.

5/18 Gamethread...
If the Ishbia brothers took over this off season they would sign some free agents which would help the young players the team has now. If they sign 2 outfielders who can hit and a good relief pitcher this would be a much better team.

5/18 Gamethread...
The new owners will be Mat and Justin Ishbia. Needless to say I'm hoping they take over sooner rather than later. I don't think they will move the team out of Chicago.

5/18 Gamethread...
1) The White Sox outfield and DH positions have to have the worse batting averages in MLB. This should have been addressed this off season. Of course JR doesn't care about improving the team. 2) Losing 8 games in a row to the Cubs is another low for the franchise. This Cubs team is a good team but it isn't the 1927 Yankees. Obviously this doesn't bother the management team. But it bothers White Sox fans like myself.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
The White Sox stadium is 2 different parks. There is nothing bad about the lower deck.(It's great) There is nothing good about the upper deck. Most of it is horrible.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
1) This talk of a new Bears stadium is all over the Chicago media. Nothing is being said about a new White Sox stadium. JR has said nothing. I know enough about JR to know he has some kind of game plan in regards to a new stadium. From what I can see he's waiting for the Bears to officially announce what they are going to do with their new stadium. Perhaps then he will come to some kind of an agreement with the City in regards to a new stadium in the South Loop. If the Bears go to the suburbs I would like to think the City wouldn't want to lose both the Bears and the White Sox. 2) I realize it isn't going to happen but wouldn't you love to see the team have a Soxfest like they had before and have a seminar with JR taking questions from the fans. It would be close to a riot.

5/17 Sox @ Cubs 1:20PM
The coaches fixed Vargas just like the coaches fixed Joe Crede years ago. I wonder why they can't fix Robert Jr. He looks completely lost at the plate.

5/17 Sox @ Cubs 1:20PM
1) Robert Jr looks like he couldn't hit me. He was one of the major talents 2 years ago. Unless something really changes I could see him not in the majors shortly. 2) Why did Rojas bat for Elko in the 9th inning? I really get the impression this organization doesn't think highly of Elko.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
I think the concept of developement around a new Bears stadium in Arlington Heights is a myth. At most a new Bears stadium might have 30 dates. No hotels or restaurants are going to go in there with those few dates. If you put a baseball stadium for the White Sox next to the Bears stadium. I would think that more developement would occur.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
I read on Google that the White Sox are now considering 3 options for a stadium. Arlington Heights, South Loop and staying at the present location. I wouldn't be all that surprised if a stadium was built in Arlington Heights.

Rick Hahn talks rebuild and collapse
Are there any White Sox fans who care what Hahn Says? I was hoping he would just go away.

And that's a 4-2 White Sox Winner for three in a row!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!

Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe, and other Black Sox members removed from MLB permanently banned list
The first MLB players strike was in 1972. The owners tried stiffing the players of their promised pension money. It was a justified strike by the players union. Santo crossed the picket line and became a scab. Ron "Pizza Man" Santo said he did it out of respect to Cubs owner Phil Wrigley. The players didn't forget that. The owners caved into the players union and the strike was settled.

Maybe they will have a Joe Jackson bobblehead giveaway at The Rate now. I wonder if Buck Weaver and Eddie Cicotte will get into the HOF now also.

Old Saying.
Shane Smith, Davis Martin, Burke, Vasil, Vargas, Quero, Meidroth, Baldwin and Elko are here. Schultz, Hagen Smith, Braden Montgomery and Teel should be here sometime in 2026. Things are starting to look up. There's an old saying, The White Sox Are Coming, Tra La, Tra La!!!!

Fire Chris Getz
It would be a tremendous boost to have Devers on the team. He can hit, something this team needs and it also would be a good PR move.
-
Fire Chris Getz
Devers is unhappy in Boston. He doesn't want to play either 1st base or DH. He wants to play at 3rd Base where he always played. I would think his days are numbered in Boston. I realize that Getz isn't going to trade for him but some team will acquire him.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
If JR wasn't content with this losing he would have improved the team this off season. They lost 121 games last year and he did nothing to improve the team. He could have easily signed 2 hitters and one bullpen pitcher and this would have been a better team. I have no doubt that they will trade Robert Jr and Benedenti for next to nothing. The trades will simply be salary dumps. Last but not least I heard Bruce Levine on the radio this morning and he said that Elko has not been brought up because the organization thinks he's a one tool player. Last I looked Elko has home runs and a high BA. How many tools does Vaughn have? I also wouldn't be surprised if Elko was traded sometime this year to another team who will let him play.

Could the Sox rebrand as lovable losers?
You've mentioned in the past that you didn't think a new stadium in the South Loop wouldn't be that good of a thing. Just curious, if they do get a new stadium, where do you think it should be built?
-
Could the Sox rebrand as lovable losers?
The White Sox were labeled Winning Ugly in 1983. These past 3 years the team has been Losing Ugly. There has been nothing lovable about this team the last 3 seasons.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
It just seems to me that this ownership is content with this losing and low payroll. That's how this comes off to me.I don't think i'm wrong.
-
Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
This is really an odd situation. The team has had trouble scoring runs and yet they won't bring up their best hitter (Elko) from the minors. I'm beginning to wonder if he'll be brought up before September.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
I'm hoping that Elko gets called up sometime this year. I would like to think he deserves a chance.
