And that's a grind it out White Sox winner!
It seems like the character of this team is really good. After bad losses they seem to come out and start winning. Hopefully they can keep winning and make the 2026 playoffs

9/18 Tigers @ White Sox, 6:40
Looks to me like we've seen the last of Luis Castillo this year. I actually thought they might bring him into the game tonight out of the bullpen. Wouldn't it of made sense to bring him in tonight? The bullpen pitchers are tired and look burned out. The only reliever we have left for tomorrow is Taylor. By pitching Castillo tonight he could not have done worse than what the other bullpen pitchers did tonight. Plus it would have given them a day of rest.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
When the ChiSox Bar and Grill opened they tried keeping it open year around. After a couple of months of no customers they closed down. It remains open only on game days.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
JR was never going to develop the area around the park. Keep in mind most of the investors were never thrilled about having the stadium built at the present location. They thought the franchise would always play second fiddle to the Cubs at the present location. Eddie Einhorn who wanted to move the team to Florida sold most of his shares of the White Sox to JR shortly after the present stadium deal was finalized. He thought it was impossible to compete against the Cubs at the present location. He didn't like being number 2 in the city. So he sold his shares and left the scene.

Looking at ticketmaster there are alot of unsold seats for all of the games in the upper deck.

I don't think Ishiba showed up at the Bridgeport meeting.

White Sox projecting @ 35-40% attendance rise, #20-22 finish
ESPN numbers do not include a Friday night game that had a concert. The attendance was announced a few days later.

The official attendance is 1,810.000

I think its fair to say that most people wouldn't go the meeting if they were in Ishiba shoes. Its bound to get ugly and I'm sure the TV stations will show that.

I'm surprised that Ishiba is going to the meeting. I would imagine its going to be a very hostile crowd.

9/16 White Sox - Guardians 6:10pm BST
Cleveland took advantage of our mistakes. If it wasn't for the Meidroth error in the 2nd inning and Smith walking hitters they would not have scored. They don't scare me. I still think the White Sox will pass them and finish in first place.

I read where Ishiba was suppose to meet with the Bridgeport citizens last night. Does anybody know what if anything happened?

9/15 GT - White Sox @ Guardians (5:40pm CT)
Yeah, starting Murphy was nuts. And yeah, seeing Mune strikeout time after time is lousy. Still, the White Sox should have won the game. Taylor lost the game when he had the 0-2 count and threw the ball over the plate.

I'm reading everywhere about whats going to happen to the Rate once the team moves out of there. When the White Sox almost moved to Florida in the late 1980s there was the same conversation about what would happen to the land when Comiskey Park was knocked down. There was talk of a CTA Bus turnaround. Also a bigger facility for IDOT. There was talk of IIT expanding their campus there also.

9/14 GT - White Sox @ Guardians (5:40pm CT)
1) One win down, hopefully 2 more wins to go. 2) Colson Montgomery has become a burden on this team. Its bad enough he"s not hitting but now his defense is hurting the team. Braden Montgomery isn't hitting either, but at least he is still good defensively. 3) I can't help but wonder if Connor Mcknight is being groomed to be the main TV announcer next year.

Could it be that Mune has not recovered from his injury? He's not the same hitter since he has come back from the injury

White Sox at St. Louis 9/13 Sandlin vs McGreevy
I wouldn't be surprised if Colson is traded and Meidroth plays short and Ant plays second base next year.

White Sox at St. Louis 9/13 Sandlin vs McGreevy
If you takeaway Colsons home runs he's hitting less than .200. He can't catch a simple ground ball today and it cost the team a game. Unless he hits a home run he is useless.

White Sox at St. Louis 9/11 7:15 Chicago time...
Does anybody think Colson is going to change offensively? It looks like he will strikeout 200 times yearly. I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't on the team in 2027. I noticed on the CWS website they list Roch Cholowsky ETA as 2027. I don't know if that is going to happen. The organization can't be happy with Colson striking out as much as he does.

9/11, Pirates @ White Sox, 2:40 AM on the Beautiful Island of Kefalonia
I wonder why Acuna was a pinch runner for Montgomery in the 7th inning.

If the South Loop Stadium site doesn't work out I wonder if Ishbia backs out of the deal in buying the team.

I will feel alot better when ground is broken on the South Loop site.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Lou Canellis (Channel 5 Sports Reporter) talked on the subject of a South Loop stadium. He implied the stadium would be built in the South Loop or Nashville. Obviously he has sources that most of us don't have. From what I can see if the City of Chicago blocks the new South loop Stadium the new owner is going to look for other options. i know he doesn't want to stay at the Rate.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I saw an interview with Josh Nelson of Sox Machine. He claims that if the present Amtrack railyard is not moved the South Loop Stadium is dead. If that happens what would the new owner do. Look for another stadium site, stay at the Rate or move the team out of state?
