  1. The only guy I think should be on the list that isn't is Hansen, but I get waiting to see if he can put up good results in AA first.
  2. I wouldn't put Eloy above Moncada. A corner outfielder with average speed and likely average at best defense vs. a middle infielder with 5 tools? I think Eloy will be a beast at the plate but Moncada just has the capability to provide value in so many other ways.
  3. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 17, 2017 -> 08:52 AM) FWIW power showing up more in ML than AAA has been happening pretty consistently last 2 years, but to answer the question, no I don't expect Delmonico to hit .400. Yeah with the juiced ball power numbers actually go up in the majors. And as for this thread of course Delmonico isn't going to maintain a 193 wRC+, no one is expecting that. But if he could be a 110-115 wRC+ hitter in the future I'd be happy, and it isn't a crazy reach.
  4. Yeah give me the big crowds for the playoffs, but for a regular season game 20-25k is perfect.
  5. Longenhagen in his chat today said he doesn't think Turang should go 1-1 because he's unsure about the bat but didn't offer an alternative. Hopefully someone separates from the pack.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 14, 2017 -> 12:16 PM) Why can everyone else travel from one side of the continent and back in the same time it's taking the Night King to march from Hardhome. He's got to go about 1/50th of the distance. Yeah I wouldn't really have a problem with the frantic pace/traveling taking no time at all (because I don't really need to see Jon travel from Dragonstone to Eastwatch) if we at least got some legitimate reason as to why the dead army is taking so long to get to the Wall from Hardhome. I know they took a detour with Bran last season but give us something else. Like maybe show a scene that indicates they're hunting down every last living creature north of the Wall to bolster their numbers. Or they're waiting for a certain area to freeze/get colder or something. It wouldn't be that difficult to show a legitimate cause for their relative slowness.
  7. I really hate the Royals so I'd be fine with another sweep. We can start losing again afterwards.
  8. Screw the tank, let's just win out.
  9. Rodon has faced 81 batters since his last walk.
  10. I don't think Moncada had a chance at getting Reddick even if he fielded it cleanly.
  11. This series is so baseball, of course we would be dominating the Astros.
  12. McHugh's curveball is nasty.
  13. Delmonico already looks so comfortable at the plate. Fantastic at bat.
  14. Great job working the walk after being down 0-2.
  15. In his chat today Dave Cameron said that if the Yankees make the wildcard game they should start Chapman and have the bullpen pitch the whole game and save Severino for Game 1 of the ALDS. I'd love to see that happen.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 10:01 AM) Flowers option will be picked up. Suzuki and Wieters are two of the worst framers in the game. Thought Wieters is interesting enough. Lucroy is probably going to get expensive. Too expensive for the Sox in their current situation. Lucroy used to be a good framer but he's rated as the worst in the game this year. There's an article on the Ringer that talks about how he no longer crouches as low as he used to and doesn't stay as still as he used to when catching pitches. And at his age I wouldn't bet on his framing skill coming back. Even if the money made sense I'd want the Sox to stay away.
  17. Syndergaard had a cameo in last night's episode.
  18. QUOTE (The Mighty Mite @ Aug 5, 2017 -> 07:28 PM) I know it's hard to walk away from the $$$ but I go back to pride and greed. This guy has already made millions, how much better is he going to live if he hangs around until his contract is over. So you would retire in his situation? I highly doubt you would.
  19. Delmonico is having a hell of a series.
  20. Great game all around for Yoan, three straight good at bats.
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 04:31 PM) I have nothing to back this up but the striking out looking thing seems to me like it's an easier fix than swinging and missing a lot. I think you might have posted in the wrong thread?
  22. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 03:58 PM) I am not an enamored. Its a fine deal, but I wouldn't be that excited if I were a Texas fan. Not to mention the rest of their deals sucked. I agree, especially since Calhoun likely ends up at DH. But I don't think they could have done much better either, so I think both teams came out OK in the deal.
  23. Great deal for the Yankees, both in the short term and the long term.
