Boy, a raking Moncada really makes the rebuild look much more promising. I always thought he was an exciting player to watch but man has he started strong...he is becoming a don't miss an at bat hittler and I love to watch him run.

Alonso works well on our roster...I just don't think they truly pursued him because he is a good fit for the Sox. But if it works out great. I have been very pleasantly surprised with his play so far.

Would the offense be better with a DH platoon of Davidson and Palka...maybe but then you've got 2 guys taking up that spot who are lousy defensively. Alonso should put up decent power numbers even though the reason they traded for him is a joke (no matter how much Hahn denies the reason why)

Any talk about Moncada not being comfortable at 3B seems to have been wrong. I do not like the stupid games the Sox played in trying to get Machado at less than market value but it could end up being fine in the long run not getting him if Moncada continues his development and Madrigal comes up and is a table setter who can play gold glove caliber 2B. What a terrific start for Moncada..I know it is just 2 games but his approach has been very encouraging.
