  1. Really weird and random observation: Charlie Tilson looks like the white version of the main pirate from "Captain Phillips"...his demeanor, the way he walks and stands, his thin posture, and his facial structure.
  2. Him and ReyLo deserve the nods.
  3. Thanks for shedding some light on this.
  4. Seems like the DSL team kind of sucks
  5. How the hell do you miss that strike

My prediction: first Kopech, then Stephens, then Dunning, then Hansen, then Cease...which one of these guys will get injured? Which ones will get packaged for an all-star in 2021? Which ones will join Rodon, Lopez, Gio? Covey? in the rotation? Will any of these guys be in the pen? Where does Fulmer fit in all of this? The future is unknown, but damn it sure is bright. And how awesome is it to have all of this friggin insurance/depth?!?
  7. I was pretty high on Avi being a middle of the order bat for the future of this team after last season. I don't doubt he can replicate what he did last year, but I think he's too much of an injury risk to count on him being a part of this team in the future. The guy misses at least a month every season due to some kind of injury. It's ridiculous. Plus the slow start to this season pre-injury...who knows what he will do when he comes back, but he only will have 3 months to show that last season was no fluke.
  8. I'm honestly surprised Dunning isn't ranked higher. Dude has done nothing but succeed and practically dominate at every level he's been to. Dunning might be our best under-the-radar prospect...the guy who is supposed to be good but no one talks about very much, but will be a big part of the next championship team.
  9. When Leury and Avi come back, it's gonna be Tilson and Thompson the odd men out. Which is kind of unfortunate...we are understandably sacrificing defense for offense. Just sucks we can't have both. Unless they choose to go with a 5 man bench, which, with it looking like the top 3 of our rotation looking pretty solid, might not be such a horrible idea.
  10. This team is becoming more and more fun and exciting to watch. Beat the two best teams in both leagues 2 weekends in a row. Up next is Cleveland. Let's go boys. Show them what Chicago is made of!!
  11. Ah. I didn't realize other teams that didn't have true rivals or cross town teams had official "rivals" in other leagues.
  12. Something that just crossed my mind...the White Sox are probably the only team in the entire league that plays at both Wrigley and Fenway each and every season of you think about it.
  13. Yeah Yolmer needs some more rest XD
  14. Does anyone know why Rodon wasn't announced as the starting pitcher for this game until just a couple hours before first pitch? It's was TBD for the longest time, when everyone pretty much knew he was starting today since like Sunday. They are always super secretive with Rodon, like they don't want anyone to know what his next step is. Seems like they are playing the same game with Hansen. I don't like it.
  15. Most teams usually do. But his era is a little above 4 so maybe he's been more vulnerable this year. Not sure how he's been of late.
  16. It's ya boi Carlos Rodon's season debut. Based on how he pitched in his rehab stint...he seems to have command and his strikeout pitch working. Game is at 3:05 central, with Price going for Boston. Maybe we see Matty D break out vs the lefty today. With Rodon going today and Lopez tomorrow... hopes are high my fellow White Sox fans!!! Enjoy the game!
  17. Just as he starts to get hot. Same shit happened to Moncada, Delmonico, and Avi.
  18. It's on WGN. Are you outside the network area? If so try Reddit streams of you have good wifi
  19. Well I mean the guy has had 3 pretty decent starts, especially the last 2. Boston is a pretty good test. If he fares well against them, I'll say 6 innings with no more than 3 runs and 3 walks, then I think he might actually be the real deal.
  20. Covey vs Sale. 6 central. I have a feeling this game will tell us who Covey really is. Fake or real turn around?
  21. Ducksnort replied to ron883's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Eh, that's debatable. I think Lopez has the slight edge
  22. Yet, Covey has a lower ERA than Sale. Interesting. Still, kind of unfair the Sox have to face Berrios and Sale in back-to-back games. Looks like Rodon will be slated to go on Saturday vs. Price. Friday is Covey and Sunday is Lopez vs Porcello, while Saturday is still TBD for our Sox. If our pitchers' recent track records stay consistent and the defense can hold its own, we may be looking at a pretty decent series vs the best team in the league.
  23. How much do you think it would take for the Sox to make a trade for Berrios? hypothetically speaking of course
  24. I mean, it had to at some point. This team isn't THAT bad.
