  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 27, 2016 -> 09:17 PM) Avi is up to .248. Hmmmm. Yeah what's up with that? A bomb of a homer and 2 doubles.
  2. Having an outfield with fantastic arms AND good instincts is a blessing in itself. We have had a lot of runners cut down on the bases this year from Eaton and Melky. Pitchers must love that.
  3. What a fun game to watch, and FINALLY Quintana is getting some run support.
  4. Todd almost eff'd up there...almost. LEt's go Avi. I'd like to see this starter out by the 3rd inning.
  5. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 27, 2016 -> 07:25 PM) He hit that ball HARD I don't think it had any arc to it...
  6. Avila just missed catching a fastball right down the middle. Umm...
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) Incredible play by O'Malley Yeah no kidding
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 10:02 PM) Brian Anderson hit two off Felix 11 years ago tonight. Ah, the good ole days. That's crazy...and Felix is only 30 years old.
  9. It annoys me to no end that the Sox play horrible in front of a large crowd on a Friday night. I know it's Felix Hernandez, but still.
  10. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 09:12 PM) The idiots from last night are really smart. https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20160826/br...ield-on-500-bet Dumbasses. They deserve what they get, felonies and all.
  11. QUOTE (The Mighty Mite @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) Is Melky hurt? Hmm yeah I noticed he wasn't in the lineup last night, thought he might just be given a night off, but I thought the beginning of a 4 game series on a thursday would be an odd time to give one of your best hitters some rest. Maybe he is hurt.
  12. QUOTE (Blackout Friday @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) From the only scouting report I read he throws his fastball around 85mph, unless he has crazy deception or something I wouldn't expect much. He's also Rule 5 eligible. But the fact we got anything for him is a small victory. Well, he probably does have deception because Steve Stone just said he has a lot of strikeouts on his record. According to the whitesox.com article (http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article/197828950/white-sox-acquire-left-hander-colton-turner/)... This year Turner has a 1.33 ERA over 54 innings with 70 strikeouts (averaging over 11 strikeouts per 9 innings) between class-a and AA for Toronto. He is 12-9 with a 2.76 ERA and 200 strikeouts in 107 games (16 starts) in the Blue Jays' system. He also had a 5.23 ERA over 9 appearances in AAA. Those seem like pretty solid numbers to me other than the AAA stint which might be of concern...
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 26, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) Yep. Very doubtful they ever have consecutive winning seasons again. I would rather have Hahn and Kenny say they want to have a sustained period of consecutive winning seasons with the intent on bringing home a WS trophy during at least one of them, rather than them say their only goal is to bring a championship to Chicago. I, and I think a lot of other fans would agree, want a team that built for longevity, not short-lived dominance (such as April 2016).
  14. Good interview IMO by Hahn. "I wouldn't have taken the general manager position if I didn't think it would be recipe for success...none of us have to be here. We all are here to help bring another championship to Chicago." http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-white-so...olds-plans-2017
  15. What a catch by Aoki...looked like he rolled his wrist though.
  16. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 25, 2016 -> 08:30 PM) Frazieg has got to try and cut down in his swing And be a bit more selective. So often he is three wild swings and sit duwn I think he is pressing. He knows he is having a horrible season average wise and hitting with risp...imo he is trying to do too much at the plate...just needs to relax and try spraying the ball to all fields. He has the power, that will come naturally, he just has to let it happen Easier said than done
  17. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 25, 2016 -> 04:40 PM) Shields only gave up 4 runs last night. Two on solo homers He was also pitching against the Phillies...his pitches weren't good. Hung breaking balls left and right, constantly fell behind in the count. He threw 40 pitches in the first two innings. If he was pitching against a team that has at least a decent offense, he would have probably given up a lot more than just 4 runs.
