TBH I'm not even convinced Sale has the temperament to be a great playoff pitcher should we get there. The self-induced implosions at times are concerning. Sure they get the best player, but they never make the extra signings and trades that they need to if they were actually serious about making the team a division favorite or wild card favorite. They just throw a bone every offseason to the fanbase to string them along when they are just interested in creating the illusion of being a contender. Hitting lighting in a bottle once every 15 years can't be relied upon to win World Series. Sure, they won it that one time. And how many career years did it take to get them there? 75% of the roster? The Sox will probably never win another World Series or even get another World Series appearance this century employing that same approach to roster construction. If they commit to a calculated approach to stockpiling young players and getting the best minor league talent evaluators they can build a real chance to contend for a decade rather than a year or two every decade.

How was letting Chamberlain go a good move? We could use him over Ynoa or Beck.

Beltran and Chapman are both rentals so I think we could get them. Just depends on what the trade market looks like. We'd have to sweep them this series obviously to put a dent in their wild card chances. It would essentially gut the farm of whatever we have left not considering the guys we just drafted. Jones/Robertson/Chapman would be a pretty good back end. Duke and Gonzalez in middle relief should be enough for the playoffs.
