  1. Chase is not going anywhere. What a great player.
  2. SS2K: As I stated, JR had no process that included fan input or the concerns of local businesses or the community....and there is none now. I think you agree. Hypothetically, IF I had Ishbia's money (I would be retired) , in addition to focusing on building a new stadium and entertainment district I would work with the current majority stockholders including, (yes, the demon himself, JR), to sign/extend the outstanding players as necessary to solidify the core moving forward. I do not want to lose Mune to the Dodgers , Yankees etc.
  3. Wishes? Wishes are like hopes and dreams and prayers - they only reside between ones ears. Truth is real. That which is not real does not exist. The truth of the matter is that Ishbia is far along in the process of moving the White Sox. That is almost a done deal. Just like when Reinsdorf decided on a new stadium design and location for the White Sox, there was no process that included fan input or the concerns of local businesses or the community. This is business for this guy. Big business. Forget about anything else.
  4. Ishbia isn't cheap like Jerry (lol) but he is a greedy son of a b**** PEI who does as he pleases and gets what he wants (e.g., see how he built his Winnetka mansion). Rest assured, Ishbia will move the Sox from their South side home. I recently read that one of his Delaware LLCs (Canal LLC or something like that) has applied to take advantage of a $380+ million dollar Federal loan to relocate the Amtrak rail yard to one of the parking lots at Rate field. So he is beyond the point of considering alternatives as you suggest. The only remaining question for him seems to be whether the stadium will be built on the East side or West side of the Canal.
  5. You sound angry. What a fvked up post.
  6. Sox should have charged the mound when Montero threw at Acuna. That was Bulshit.
  7. What about the regression you expected?
  8. How did yelling the F bomb at Skubal work out for the White Sox yesterday? Maybe he should have charged the mound, lol. No, just a lame attempt to elevate Vasil' relevance. This came off like the fan exchanging vulgarities with PCA or in some way, Fisk going into the outfield stands and talking to an outfielder after he was released. Yes, Vasil can shout F. U to pitchers and act like a clown, at least for now.
  9. We'll see how long his dugout shenanigans go on before Getz puts some restrictions on Vasil, like - don't use the "f" word to call out an opposing pitcher while he is on the mound. I don't scream at clouds, I look at clouds from both sides .
  10. At least Andy the Clown stayed in the stands , until they banned him. Vasil is getting a free ride with the White Sox including travel, meals and expenses. He can earn that privilege by staying in the bullpen to help relievers prepare....not cl0wning around in the dugout. Vasil crossed a line by exchanging words with Skubal. He isn't an active player or a coach so he had no business doing that. I will bet that Vasil's antics will not be tolerated by Getz much longer. This team has to focus and Vasil has made himself into a clown and a distraction.
  11. ok...jabroni.
  12. Not sure why Acuna would be cut instead of Jacob Gonzalez when Mune comes back...although I have no issue with cutting Acuna if/when another infielder comes up. I guess I have not seen enough of Jacob Gonzalez at any position other than 1st base. Just from seeing him at a few games and on TV. he looks like a big dude that handles 1B pretty well, but maybe , I am guessing, doesn't have the quickness and range that Acuna has to play SS or 2B. JMHO..
  13. Facts? The Sox won the World Series in 2005. Six NBA World Championships. The Cubs have only one one World series over the last 100 years or so. Inconvenient truth for Sox trolls or those with Reinsdorf derangement syndrome.
  14. Pound the Tigers on Sunday and come back home with, hopefully, Teel coming up to catch soon. Terrible pitching yesterday (Eisert) and today (Rock). Sox could never get momentum going. Detroit is playing with urgency to prevent a lost season, and the Sox are coasting right now. Maybe a motivational clubhouse talk before tomorrow's game should be in order. Venable doesn't seem to have the pizz and vinegar flowing in his veins to do that, but I don't know, maybe he does...or invite Ozzie down there for a little guest appearance. Let's go. Now.
  15. It has taken decades, yes even longer than '05 or '90 or '83 or '77 to put together a group of young, upcoming position p,layers that are as cohesive and solid as the 2006 White Sox. Now it is only a matter of keeping this group together. They are only going to get better.
  16. You are much smarter that Reinsdorf, right? Uh no you're not.
  17. I would not be surprised if Venable or Getz address Vasil's clown act in the dugout. Vasil crossed a line when he exchanged words with Skubal. Not sure how they might handle Vasil but maybe they would consider continuing his free travel with the team but restrict him to the bullpen during games. Meanwhile, the guy is just making a jackass of himself.
  18. Vasil is making a fool out of himself by acting like a clown. Instead, he needs to act like a player, in his case a pitcher, and maybe station himself in the dugout to watch the game and help relievers.
  19. OK , I'll play the blame game. First as to Peters dive to try to catch a line drive ... a catch that could have helped end the inning and win the game. A low line drive directly at a CF is the hardest ball to judge in terms of its trajectory. Peters has caught line drives like that one, including another one in that game. He was going full speed to try to catch the line drive. I don't blame him, but if anyone wants to, go ahead. In my eyes, he went for it to try to win the game. Once he committed, he could not stop and catch the ball on a bounce. The guy is a gamer. Don't blame him for that. Second, who lost the game ? Eisert. He could not even get through an inning without giving up the lead. And further, who decided to go with Eisert to open? Any blame for that. Yes, the blame game can be brutal when you lose. Just look ahead and hope the Sox win a game or two in the series.
  20. Not sure what Acuna has to do with Mune coming back. Gonzo likely goes back to the Minors when Mune returns. I thought Jacob could be the LH DH, but Benny has taken over that role with his recent clutch hitting and power. Gonzo could be back though. He is a good player.
  21. Sox LH oriented lineup kills RH pitching but some of our hitters are vulnerable to LH starters. Could be a rough game tonight against Skubal. I agree about Acuna though. That flyball he botched into a double yesterday was a joke. He is a net negative for the team. DFA.
  22. I like the Sox infield - a group with superb skills at their respective positions. Each player fits perfectly into the line-up.
