Not extending Murakami would be a PR disaster
Getz' Acuna interview was a PR disaster. Easy to fix. DFA Acuna without delay.

Bring up Braden Montgomery to play Right Field
A few weeks at Charlotte should be enough to get an idea when /if Braden should be promoted. My hope is that he rakes there. Let's Go Braden !

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
100% False. Bridgeport has been gentrified to the East where most residential is located. The parking areas are secured and safe. There would be safety concerns for fans if they walked around the South Loop at night. There are no "safe" areas downtown, even down the mag mile/ Water Tower shopping area. Most of those who complain about the stadium don't go to many games now and probably never will. It is quite possible that relocating Sox Park will become inconvenient for South suburban Sox fans and end up reducing attendance. Sometimes choosing the easiest most sensible alternative is the hardest thing to do. The last rendering that I believe was reportedly connected to Ishbia and his PIE firm did not appear to have much thought behind it. (i.e., a retro stadium next to the modern Fire stadium design, walking across elevated RR bridge to get to the stadium, or relocating numerous RR tracks only to be located next to the BNSF rail bone yard. The limited hangout road, so to speak, is for the White Sox and JR to sign a lease extension and kick the stadium relocation matter down the road for 5 or 10 years. Let's see how the "78" and Fire stadium works out during that time period.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
That will be enough to beat the Sox considering the Padres bullpen.. i.e., this game is ovah.

5/3 Sox @ Padres - 3:10PM CT
Kay - another player that Getz made a mistake acquiring which means that Kay will stay in the rotation until he blows more games. Like the Acuna deal, it's so hard for Getz to admit he made a mistake. Acuna should have been DFAed already. Meanwhile, this game could be over after Kay gave up a 3 spot with some out of control pitching. Kay is the stopper...stopper of a White Sox winning streak.

At what point do we start to believe?
Jerry's boys are doing much better than some of us (like me) anticipated. Now I'm happy to admit I was wrong as I jump back on the bandwagon.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
The ISFA (owned by us as IL taxpayers) owns the Rate including acres of surrounding property. Not sure why they are not negotiating a favorable lease extension to keep the Sox in Bridgeport or in a new stadium at Armor Park....or maybe they have been but those negotiations have been kept private. Certainly the mere threat to move to a new location would greatly impact any negotiations between the White Sox and the ISFA.

Bring up Braden Montgomery to play Right Field
Getz has stated that Braden will not be promoted from AA to the major league club. As a fan, I reserve the right to disagree and I do. Antonacci earned the starting job in LF because he hits and runs and gets on base in clutch situations, and Chase is playing 2B. Tristan Peters has earned the CF job by a surprisingly wide margin. He has speed and looks natural fielding that position. He has also proven from Opening Day on that he can hit in the clutch, bunt or scratch a base hit. So that leaves RF. The default RFer right now is Hays, who is adequate, but hasn't done that much to prove that RF is his.The way the White Sox are going now, I think Braden would fit right in and provide power from both sides of the plate. Beyond RF - Sox could also use a RH DH and of course, Teel , although his return to the club seems even more uncertain as time goes by. I dream of this team with Teel and Braden in the line-up. Even more HR power.

5/1 Sox @ Padres - 8:40PM CT
Google the phrase. It was a compliment. IMHO...Tolerance of others is in short supply in our country and in other parts of the world. If one can at least try to understand that they can live their own life in peace and in harmony with others. People like Schriff who are black or those from any minority in this country should be able to expect no less from others. This is the United States.

Alarm reactivated: Tanner McDougal left today’s game with right forearm tightness
I recently watched Tanner on a post game show on CSHN and he came off like a nice relaxed person off the field but an intense competitor on the field.

Ishbia wants to make the right moves but as a billionaire from Michigan he might benefit from what South side Sox fans have to say. Never forget, Reinsdorf and Einhorn ignored any ideas for a new stadium, including Phillip Bess' Armor Square park. I would still be down with locating the stadium where the Armor field house is on 33rd across from Cork & Kerry.

Alarm reactivated: Tanner McDougal left today’s game with right forearm tightness
"The Charlotte Knights got a scare on Wednesday when stud prospect Tanner McDougal was forced to leave his start early. The 23-year-old pitcher was experiencing forearm tightness, which required further testing. Chicago's Triple-A squad proceeded to announce that McDougal will now hit the seven-day IL as he works through the issue. Both the Knights and White Sox are crossing their fingers that McDougal has evaded any serious trouble." https://www.si.com/mlb/whitesox/onsi/white-sox-notes-tanner-mcdougal-s-injury-scare-fantastic-offensive-numbers-30 Crossing my fingers for Tanner.

White Sox calling up Jarred Kelenic
I would prefer Hill and Tristan Peters any day to Kelenic. Maybe he proves me wrong, but I doubt it.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I have expressed my opinion many times that the outfield concourses at Rate Field are fantastic. A great place to gather, purchase and enjoy food and drinks, access washrooms, meet friends who purchased seats in other sections, get out of your seat and walk all the way around the park. I do not like sitting down in a plastic seat for the entire game. At the Rate, the outfield concourses are open air - no upper decks. It almost has the feeling of a Spring Training game where there is a picnic feeling in the outfield. Terry Savarise was responsible for choosing many of the design elements at the then new Comiskey. He asked the Architects to model the outfield based on Dodgers stadium. Personally, I would never consider going to a game if I had 500 level seats. IMO, that is overflow seating. If one cannot afford a 100 level seat I understand the budgetary reasons, but personally, I would rather watch on TV than sit in a bad seat for the entire game For the architectural firm that is tasked with designing a new stadium, there are several things to consider including constraints from whatever site is eventually chosen. A stadium with outfield concourses like the Rate or Dodgers Stadium would require a relatively large footprint. If the design has upper decks all around or something like the Green Monster, a lot more seats could be fit into a smaller stadium. Historically, the original Wrigley and the original Comiskey did not have outfield upper tanks. Comiskey added those a few years later to increase seating capacity and of course , an enormous LF scoreboard was added by the Ricketts. Cub fan Paul Sullivan was among those who felt that the huge, imposing scoreboard in LF really detracted from the classic CF scoreboard and the vintage look of Wrigley. Maybe some here recall watching home runs hit on and over Waveland back in the day and Brickhouse announcing "Hey-Hey!" Gone are those days. Hypothetically, if the Sox build in Armor Park and take down that old Armor Park field house, customers in front of Turtles and Cork & Kerry would revel in catching some HRs.

What stadium is pictured in your post?

POSTGAME: Just a lil home sweep of the Angels
Sam's batting stance looks like his is all coiled up and ready to strike like a rattle snake. I am guessing that he has some HR power in there. Hope we sweep the 😇again in CA. Wish I could get out there to catch a game on this road trip. Weather has been kind of blah here. Cold rainy town.

Teel injured in WBC - Grade 2 hamstring strain, out 4-6 weeks
Kyle's hamstring injury occurred on March 10, 2026, so it has been about 7 weeks now. I was concerned when I heard that there was a setback. Not sure what that referred to but an imminent rehab assignment is not being talked about any more.

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
I have a few questions about this including how and why it was generated. -The article mentions that the stadium in this rendering was designed for the "78." Ishbia or someone on his team reportedly had questions about whether or not a stadium could fit between Wells and the Railroad tracks. Do you have exterior dimensions of the stadium and a site plan with basic dimensions? -Having attended games in the lower deck at the old Comiskey, Wrigley and Tiger stadium, I recall that some sections in the lower deck do not see much sunshine. You look up and you see metal trusswork and decking. At Wrigley your view might even be obstructed by a steel post. As far as upper decks in the outfield with a large overhangs, once again, that comes at the cost of obscuring sunshine and obscuring exterior views. -the outfield concourses at the Rate can be accessed from the entire 100 level. Instead of getting stuck in your seat you can walk all around the park, meet or make friends out there and enjoy food and beverages. I would like that in any new stadium. I have other questions, but I will leave them for those on a higher pay scale so to speak. Good effort though. FYI, Brian Powers has a very interesting site that virtually recreates views at Comiskey: https://bandboxballparks.com/services/
