  1. F*k. I don't want to hear about Gonzalez. Sox cannot replace Mune.
  2. tray replied to hi8is's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If Mune is done, Sox are done. I could care less about Gonzalez.
  3. Time to revisit Architect Bess vision for Armor Field and work off some of his concepts. A great Article on that: https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/the-white-sox-ballpark-in-chicago-that-never-was-and-could-have-changed-history/ Everything is still there to do it. Swap Parking Lot "L" with the Chicago Park District for Armor Square Park.
  4. I had a few knee injuries including an MCL. I am not going to relate my own experience other than the fact that a knee brace seemed to help me through it. Anyway, I Googled can a knee brace help an MCL injury and the information there seemed to confirm what my own experiences were. The extra time Teel has had to let his hamstring heel might be a blessing in disguise. Whatever the case is, I hope he is back soon. Kyle is one of my favorite players since I met him at SoxFest in Bridgeport last year. You won't find a better person to play for the White Sox.
  5. Ishbia...LOL He is too busy trying to monetize moving the White Sox (and leaving taxpayers holding the bag for lack of tax revenue from an abandoned stadium and surrounding property). By Ishbia's own admission, he has nothing to do with the day to day operations of the White Sox, Meanwhile Jerry, Getz , Venable and Janish are all responsible for putting an excellent team on the field this year. It has been fun to watch.
  6. True dat. Some positive spin would be that Teel somehow comes back in 2-3 weeks and really improves the bottom of the line-up. Also, Sox Park will provide some advantage to HR hitting teams in the summer. Bombs away. Lock and load the fireworks displays. GET OUUUUUT! Mune with his 25th bomb. Boom----ba boom boom boom.
  7. See my post in the 78 thread explaining how Ricketts expanded his revenue stream while the ISFA stood pat leaving acres of undeveloped parking lots for decades. It is not too late build at Armor Park and develop the surrounding property, like they should have done many years ago.
  8. Please no more shirts off. Hard to stop it though, kinda like disco, the wave, and other bad ideas.
  9. I dislike some of the commercials. Sorry not sorry.
  10. Acuna is so bad.
  11. Nothing else to say so try shitting on Schriff. It's gotten old.
  12. Colson has been swinging for the fences, even with 2 strikes. I don't know. Maybe that is just his only swing.
  13. Consider what Joe Ricketts did after he purchased the Cubs. In order to maximize every possible revenue stream (for himself), he started purchasing surrounding properties like a modern day land baron. Clever. Forget the views from the park to the surrounding neighborhood and block the historic views from inside the park. Build some ugly, enormous scoreboards that insulted fans of the historic Wrigley Field. No it is no longer enough to stare at the ivy. The eye goes up from there. The White Sox do not own the Rate or the surrounding property. The additional revenue stream from parking (via the ISFA) filled a void in revenue for a while, but it was not enough. The WSox did not build an entertainment district around the park probably because they did not/do not own the land. Clearly a short-sighted view. Of course that could be reconsidered with a possible new Stadium in Armor Park, but too many hoops for Ishbia to want to go through. Much easier for him to buy the RR sites and leave the ISFA and taxpayers holding the bag for the historic site on 35th. Ishbia knows all about what Ricketts did - Glomb on the to the revenue streams from a surrounding entertainment district by owning those properties for himself. Restrict stadium views with revenue producing scoreboards, charge premium prices for parking and tickets. Billionaire megalomania, greed and avarice. That is what everyone should expect. You think Jerry is cheap? Be careful what you wish for and watch your wallet.
  14. Noah Schultz tendonitis is not an injury per se, at least that is my understanding. ptatc would be helpful to explain this better.
  15. I feel bad about this loss. We had this game in the 10th. Venable should have sent Sam to second and Acuna home. Venable left that game on the table and the Twins took it. I have disliked the Twins for decades. I was all set to grab victory from the hands of defeat.
  16. Not even some of the all-time greats could throw home on the fly from the outfield wall to nab a runner tagging at third. What Rikuu has done is insane.
  17. Rikuu throwing out a runner at home once again was insane. That little guy tries his ass off on every play. We shoulda won this game damnit.
  18. IMO, Venable should have sent Antonacci to steal 2nd, with men on 1st and 3rd in the 10th, only one out. He allowed the double play to remain in order and they turned it.
  19. The IL stint for Noah obviously adds to the need for starting pitchers right now. Meanwhile Getz frantically trying to plug new holes. He has his work cut out for him.
  20. Rikuu, Antonacci, Teel, Vargas ...this team has TWTW and is going to be fun to watch. The way Rikuu ran in from RF high-stepping after his throw home was the type of thing that fires the team and the fans up.
  21. Rikuu's skill set matches what Venable can use either coming off the bench to pinch hit, pinch run, or to spot start. Chuck Garfein's podcast proved to be insightful.
  22. Nishida high stepping into the dugout. awesome
  23. Sox were not looking to have Rikuu fill a spot in the starting line-up. The move was made to replace a bench player that has been giving off the opposite vibe. Good riddance Acuna or as the Schriff might say "get out!"
