Wasting a nice start by Davis. It looks like the Sox do not have a strategy at the plate. Try something else. Try anything.

Acuna has been so bad.

I doubt Murray lost sight of a routine fly ball and Acuna bailed him. It is possible, and perhaps likely, that Murray was expressing surprise that Acuna was encroaching on a ball he would have caught ....without calling for it.

Bergolla and Antonacci collided and injured each other
I hope Ant learns the basics in the outfield like shouting "I got it" to avoid collisions and hitting the cut-off man, two lessons that seem to have eluded Acuna. There is more to playing OF though, and some of the skills like quickly gauging the appx distance and trajectory of fly balls and getting an early jump might be more innate - some can do it, others cannot. This season might just turn around if one or more of Noah Schultz, Hagen Smith or Tanner MacDougal come up to the majors AND a few guys like Fedde, Kay, Grant Taylor, Jordan Leisure, and Seranthony have good seasons. Offensively, I look forward to the best from Colson , Murakami, Sosa, Vargas, Teel, Chase and Periera. These players are going to hit home runs, and that alone should result in a fun year at the ballpark.

Fire Chris Getz
In hindsight this team would look a lot better now with Luis Robert than Acuna. So that trade, in itself, is a fire-able offense not only because it hasn't worked out, but because Getz did not conduct some basic due diligence (switch-hitter?) about the player that was coming back. Dude can't field any position on the field adequately.

Schultz gets the call, Antonacci up too!
As far as your opinion that the outfield is solid, especially Acuna, I have to disagree. Benintendi lacks speed and arm strength. Acuna has been awkward in CF with late jumps and weak throws. With Hays now gone for weeks or maybe months, RF is open to a number of outfielders but none have plus arms or can hit, especially with power. IMO the current outfield is a disaster. Everyone has an opinion on how it might be improved. If I was Getz or Venable I would replace Acuna with Periera or Tristan Peters in CF and Derek Hill in RF at least until Braden improves his contact rate, which might be never. Not sure yet if Antonacci can play LF so I agree with you that there is no place to put him right now. Stuck in the muck losing games like it is 2025. Fangoul.

4/7/26 Orioles @ White Sox 2:10 Chicago Time. Shane Smith SP
Venable is stoic in the dugout like Grifol was and just as clueless. Asleep at the wheel.

Almost everyone was thinking that Henderson could hit a homerun and win the game...except Venable who allowed Henderson to hit with first base open. The best Managers assess risks in order to prevent certain hitters from beating them. Maybe an unintentional/intentional walk to Gunnar who was locked in at the plate today and was swinging for the downs.

Baldwin out for the season
OK it is a lost year for you. Maybe stop wasting your time watching games, posting, and trying to depress fans. I am going to enjoy the remaining season.

Baldwin out for the season
It's not going to be easy to replace players on the roster or to teach players like Acuna a new position on the fly. Unfortunately it seems like Braden is not hitting well enough to warrant being called up.

2026 MLB Forbes teams values, Sox lose money for 6th straight year
How do you know the organization is poorly operated ? the W/L record? OK, but there is no doubt that major aspects of the White Sox organization are run very well and that is part of the reason that our fan base has remained loyal over the years. Maybe Ishbia will fork out hundreds of millions to guarantee large FA player contracts. I have the sense that he is buying it to turn and sell it for profit like private equity investors do. For Ishbia, it is all about the money and the things that money can buy. Never forget that. https://www.reddit.com/r/illinois/comments/12rc0xu/billionaires_winnetka_home_to_be_most_expensive/ Read the comments in that link. Hilarious.

Austin Hays to IL
Need someone who can play the outfield, not Antonacci, at least not at this point. Maybe down the road when he proves he can play LF. I guess Dru Baker would make sense.

“The 78” is alive and well, moisturized and thriving , Viva La Canal's Edge!
I noticed that the RF concourse was completely jammed. Not sure if some holding 500 level tickets may have been allowed there. I think an easy way to fix that and generate more income would be to convert the fundamentals areas in LF into a lounge and open air bar. Also if the WSox are thinking of extending the Lease, a small RF upper deck could be interesting. RF does not have the issues with the sunset that LF seats have.

Schultz gets the call, Antonacci up too!
Antonacci would make sense as a call-up... IF he proves he can play LF in the Minors and IF Benintendi gets moved somehow, which is unlikely. Otherwise Meidroth at 2B and Benny as a LH platoon in LF is what we will likely see for the foreseeable future.

If the Bears move to Arlington Heights what happens to the current stadium at Soldier? Demolished or left as a concert and events venue? Worse, the possibility that the WSox would abandon their historic home on 35th would be a terribly regressive form of urban planning. Bridgeport is a community that has been gentrifying around the park for decades. Millions have been invested in beautiful new or rehabbed homes and apartments around there. South Halsted Street and area businesses are relying on the White Sox and their fans to support them.

Some of the older fans might recall McCuddys. The ISFA purchased that and the surrounding neighborhood and demolished all of it for parking lots. That showed that the ISFA never intended to develop any of the substantial acreage around the Rate into residential, commercial or an entertainment venue. Not even a tavern that would compete with stadium beer concessions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFyA3qkrtXY https://chibarproject.com/reviews/mccuddys/ https://chicagoreader.com/news/the-mccuddys-mess-big-jim-opens-big-mouth-tavern-owners-get-big-shaft/ A lot of greed by the WSox and the ISFA coupled with a lot of short sighted foolish decisions concerning many aspects of the stadium's design. Well, some of us were just too concerned about the Sox possibly moving and/or upset that Comiskey was going to be wrecked rather than rehabbed. Also, once a new ownership group headed by DeBartolo was announced and supposedly approved, we just let our guard down on the rest. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFTz0p96-aE&t=103s

White Sox Winner 6-3
Seranthony almost blew that by doing what Sox relievers did so many times last year - walking the lead-off batter in the ninth with a three run lead. A lot of stress watching the last batter with Vlad up next. Would like to see a more dominant Closing performance.
