I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox could move Soria by the end of spring training if they were willing to eat some of the remaining salary. I don't think that will happen and I wouldn't recommend it.

Jason Vargas from the Royals is my buy low veteran pitcher. He seems like a Miguel Gonzalez mirror image in terms of production when healthy but is a touch older and lefty

Hopefully Smith and Narvaez develop well enough in year 2 that they feel they can wait and let Collins perfect his skills.

I would be fine if I never heard the Sox and Astros speculated as trading partners again the future. The process with them is fatiguing.
