  1. I love Cease and Dunning. I'd have go Dunning and Cease (in that order) above Collins. My bold prediction for this year is that Cease explodes (much like Kopech 1.5 years ago) and is a top 40 prospect this time next year. Crazy K numbers and brings the walks down.
  2. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Jan 24, 2018 -> 08:44 AM) I am anxious to see Burgur play some 3b in the minors so the Sox can determine if he can advance in the system at that position. hopefully he does
  3. Gosh that trade was so so so bad.. Thank goodness Hahn made some good ones so we could forget that one
  4. Shocked Burr didn't make the just missed list either..
  5. Sad Burr didn't make the list.. He is my favorite RP addition this offseason (Greater than Viera) and I am also higher on Flores than most but this was a good list!
  6. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jan 21, 2018 -> 11:05 PM) Another view of potential future uniforms someone came up with a few years ago. It doesn’t focus on featuring the “white” aspect of things, but rather “punching up” the color on the current uniform scheme while tethering the suggestions to the team’s varied uniform design history. https://clumsytuba.wordpress.com/2013/04/04...e-sox-uniforms/ Loved the bottom ones.. Never really understood the red though.. I like our current uniforms though id be interested in getting rid of the pinstripe home jerseys and replacing them with plain white.
  7. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 11:37 AM) I am, but I am not. Law has proven wrong many times about Sox prospects in the past. I don't take his rankings to heart. Fact of the matter is we had 6 guys who were infused into our young team last year and all had solid debuts. Then 5 more guys who are locked for Top 100 in most lists. Then you have guys like Cease, Collins, Rutherford, Burdi, and Burger who just missed the 100 on most lists. Oh and by way, we have the 4th pick in the next draft, and payroll savings to make a big splash in the upcoming free agency. I forget about burdi and the fact that we have the 4th pick (top 50ish prospect) coming
  8. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 11:18 AM) So we’ll probably have the big 4 in this list. We had five in BA’s list. Callis hinted at six in his list. Honestly, it’s a bit concerning that we’re in year 2 of our rebuild and that’s all we got. And I’m fully aware we had three top 50 prospects graduate last year, but sucks to see Cease & Rutherford completely fall off these lists. Not sure why Cease completely fell off all lists, but i completely understand the Rutherford falling off
  9. QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 10:49 AM) When I heard the prospect people talk about collins, the good news is he's the only catcher aside from Mejia scouts really see with a nice offensive profile. The bad news is almost none of them really picture him at catcher, so all of the others with meh profiles but proper defense are ahead of him. So he just has to be a catcher. agreed. Which is another reason why I don't get the hype. His defensive questions. I hope he kicks butt this year
  10. Well this is weird.. I have a dynasty team and had Corey Ray on it (late pick) and he obviously played in the brewers organization.. Today I went to my team (out of habit) and saw that he was listed as a player in the KC organization..... ummm Ray + to KC for Duffy (assuming)? Could that be the rumor Crasnick was mentioning? did my fantasy team confirm something of happening that hasn't been reported anywhere?!?!
  11. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 10:39 AM) I didn't expect Collins to be top 100 but you defaulting to strikeouts after someone gave you evidence of the kind of hitter he is says everything needed. You don't need to be taken seriously in this regard. lol
  12. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jan 22, 2018 -> 09:39 AM) ISOs above .200 at every level, wOBA above .367 at every level, wRC+ above 130 at every level, BB% above 17.8% at every level. Dude rakes. Yeah, he rakes in a ton of K's in A ball.. He didn't do anything close to deserving of top 100
  13. I still don't understand why people think/thought Collins is even close to being a top 100 prospect LET ALONE inside the top 100
  14. That Eaton trade just keeps getting better and better haha. This list is right about where I thought people would be.. However, I still think Kopech is low.. Yes I said low.. I still think he should be closer to top 5. #CyYoungin3Years
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2018 -> 06:39 PM) Adam Jones, Charlie Blackmon, and AJ Pollock are all Free Agents next offseason. If CF remains a need, we have the money. Blackmon and Pollack I could get behind.. Not so much for Jones.
  16. QUOTE (Hamhock @ Jan 20, 2018 -> 09:51 AM) https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/ballpark/infor...guide#n-content thanks, I wonder if they've already done them for this season or if they haven't started yet. darn!
  17. Hey all, does anyone know how one (me) would go about trying to audition to sing the National Anthem for the Sox? I've done it elsewhere and it's always been a dream of mine. Any insight would be outstanding.
  18. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Jan 19, 2018 -> 04:04 PM) Between the scouts saying he'll be good if he adds loft to his swing, and the reports out of the hitters camp that he is hitting it in the air more, I'm pretty excited to see what he can do this year. Me too.. I was and still am super excited about our first three picks last year. (Burger, Sheets, Gonzalez)
  19. TOP 10 1B prospects released. No Sox (no surprise) HOWEVER, they names Gavin Sheets the 1B prospect to watch.. So that's pretty cool
  20. top 10 First Basement will be released today. Wouldn't expect any of ours on this list. Gavin Sheets is probably our best 1b prospect followed by Gillespie (Who ranked 5th on this list last year). Suprising how thin this list for 1B is with talent
  21. QUOTE (Dizzy Sox @ Jan 18, 2018 -> 07:57 PM) I sure hope I'm wrong but Rutherford just screams to me of being an overhyped Yankee prospect who loses his shine once he's out of pinstripes. I know he was well regarded coming out of the draft but...just not feeling this one. Yeah, he has lost A LOT of shine
  22. QUOTE (KrankinSox @ Jan 18, 2018 -> 02:38 PM) Rutherford had a quote in the Athletic saying he grew another inch to inch and a half this offseason. It's easy to forget how young he is and still coming into his body. Obviously would like to see an improvement at the plate in 2018 but I don't think he should lose all of his stock as a prospect. I agree but top 100 is a big deal. Hard to make it following a very down year
