QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 05:55 PM) Hansen is absolutely on it. Yes. I have it Eloy, Kopech, (both top 10), Hansen and Robert (both top 50). Then I'd guess Cease around 80 and Dunning just outside -

QUOTE (credezcrew24 @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 02:59 PM) The current list has 6. I don't see why it would change. Because Rutherford was bad. he will drop outside of top 100 -
This is fine

QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 12:55 PM) Thought it sounded weird that neither of Fisher or Tucker were even available as a centerpiece to get four years of Quintana, but that they'd both be available six months later, AFTER the WS victory, just to get only two years of Gerrit Cole. They'd have LOVED for us to take Fisher.. He was never off the table -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 11:37 AM) Who said that? They have 6 on current list but that isn't updated. THey'll have 5 for sure though. I'm guessing they still have Rutherford on it. I'm thinking 4 for sure.. With probably Cease at the back end. Who are you thinking is the 5th for sure? -

QUOTE (KnightsOnMintSt @ Jan 10, 2018 -> 10:54 AM) According to MLB, the White Sox will have 6 in the Top 100. When does their list get released? Theirs is my favorite -

This tells me that we only have 4 in their top 100 list. Though Dunning is probably right outside of it. -
Where does Luis Robert start 2018?
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in FutureSox Board
Ending the year at Winston Salem would be good. Then we can set eyes on ending in Double A the next year. Then by year 3 we can try to end the year in the MLB.. -
Most valuable prospect out of the Top 15
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in FutureSox Board
Does Stephens remind anyone else of Buehrle? Not great stuff. Not tons of K's, not high on our prospect list but just always gets the job done.. No I'm not advocating he is Buiehrle, I'd be happy with a 5th starter role or BP from him. I just see some similarities -
I've always found Salazar to be underrated. I'd love him on this team. But like everyone else here has stated, his value is hard to peg.

Alec Hansen: The most underrated player in MiLB?
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to KnightsOnMintSt's topic in FutureSox Board
I have him as our third prospect (Eloy, Kopech, Hansen, Robert). I think he will be around top 50 when they release new lists and top 25 by the midway point next year when they update them. He is going to be a fast riser up the prospect boards. How I rank our top 10 prospects including those who came up last year (Moncada, Eloy, kopech, hansen, robert, giolito, lopez, Cease, Berger, Dunning). I could be missing a name there... but yes, i love hansen and am with you that he is underrated -
2018 better or another chase for the first overall pick?
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to Dominikk85's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm going to guess around the same.. No Quintana, Robertson, Kahnle, Swarzak, Melky or Frazier for more than half the year.. I expect Avi to regress.. who doesn't? HOWEVER, I'd have to assume some improvements and positive steps from the prosepcts (Moncada, Giolito, Lopez, Kopech and Eloy (both will be up by the trade deadline)). So I will guess 65-70 wins. -
Large 30 team Fantasy Baseball Dynasty League
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to Polar Bear's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Moncada @ Jan 4, 2018 -> 11:18 AM) Yes, we think that since their is a larger pool that the breakdown is fair. $115 to Champ, $65 to runner-up, $15 to the other division champs and wild cards. I am out.. Not enough money for the top 4 spots. -

So you are planning on paying out every single team that makes the playoffs? -

It looks like you have half of the pot going to people who make the playoffs (barf). That leaves only a little money for people who actually make it to the AL and NL Championship and World Series. -
2017-2018 MLB player movement rumors and reports
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If you get in the 5 year for 70 million range I'd be open to it -
My top 5 Evan Skoung (Winds up being our best C prospect after this year) Luis Gonzalez (Solid #2 hitter potential) Bernardo Flores (Turns out to be our best LH prospect) Jake Burger (I think he will blow up this year and make the top 100 mid-season) Dyaln Cease (yes I know he's a top 10 already but I am predicting that he will make the same sort of crazy jump Kopech did. Predicting he brings he control in while keeping his rediculous K numbers and just dominates the minors and moves into the top 25 prospects by year end) These are my 5 under the radar with their bold predictions attached.

Large 30 team Fantasy Baseball Dynasty League

Yeah, I'd only be interested if there is a fee. I wouldn't keep my interest in a free league since I'm in other money leagues. Also, I'd vote weekly -

QUOTE (Moncada @ Jan 2, 2018 -> 03:16 PM) It's a little slow so I thought I'd see if there is any interest. I'd like to start a large 30 team deep Dynasty league (message board in conjunction with Fantrax) Something like 25-30 major league roster with 15-20 minor league roster. Mods please move in need be. Message me or post if there is any interest. The sooner the better. I'd be interested. I run a dynasty league so I'd have some helpful insight. If you do it through ESPN (my recommendation) the rosters only max out at 40. Also, I wouldn't limit the amount of MLB players and prospects. Let each owner decide what they feel is more important (Build for long term or a win now approach or somewhere in the middle). -

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 27, 2017 -> 02:27 PM) Then save your money this year, work the guys this year, and see who gets hurt. Maybe it's a pitcher, maybe it's a position player. Then replace that guy for the 2019 season. My point is you'll never be able to sign a SP the caliber of Arrieta for the contract he is going to get this offseason BECAUSE all the big market teams are saving for next year.. This may be the time to bite -
2017-2018 MLB player movement rumors and reports
Squirmin' for Yermin replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I guess my thought process is that SP USUALLY go for a boat load of money but this offseason they aren't because teams want to get under the cap so that they can go nuts next offseason.. We would be signing him way under what he would have been signed for last offseason even if he came off producing the same results.. It's just an interesting idea. 100 million for a starter usually gets you Jeff Samardzija not Jake Arrieta.. So if he has fallen to 100 million because of the reasons stated above, it would make some sense to kick those tires
