July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Lucroy is out of lineup tonight for Brewers Watch the Sox get him and say they are going for it.
July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) Lucroy is out of lineup tonight for Brewers If KW/Hahn are really determined not to sell and to give it one more shot next season then Lucroy is almost a must for them.
July 30, 20169 yr #Mets made no headway in Lucroy talks with #Brewers today. There's an increasing sense he won't be going to NY. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick/status/759505004151603200
July 30, 20169 yr no deal yet for lucroy. obviously a lot of activity tho. mets, indians, maybe rangers, mystery teams in. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/759507003198898176 I could see the sox doing something stupid. Tho hes not a rental player per say lol Edited July 30, 20169 yr by WhiteSoxLifer
July 30, 20169 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 05:25 PM) Wtf are you doing, Braves? No kidding. I get they want a team for the new park, but Kemp now?

July 31, 20169 yr the mystery team on lucroy isn't on no-trade list. so, it seems like brewers have played this well. have 3+ good options. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/759552301145157632
July 31, 20169 yr QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 07:56 PM) the mystery team on lucroy isn't on no-trade list. so, it seems like brewers have played this well. have 3+ good options. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/759552301145157632 Would be such a White Sox move to pick up Lucroy. Although I wouldn't mind Lucroy, but the time is not right to do so.
July 31, 20169 yr BREAKING: #Brewers, #Indians in agreement on Lucroy. He still must approve trade. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/759595734068932608
July 31, 20169 yr Price for Lucroy seems pretty reasonable. Can't believe no else could top it. Hopefully this puts some pressure on Boston, Texas, & Houston to make some deals.
July 31, 20169 yr Indians get Andrew Miller.. Per Olney Yankees expected to get Indians prospects Frazier and Sheffield and others in the trade for Andrew Miller. Edited July 31, 20169 yr by EvilJester99
July 31, 20169 yr And this is why even had the sox season gone a little better we were still forcing issue. We had no farm to compete for deals like Indians did.
July 31, 20169 yr QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 07:45 AM) Indians get Andrew Miller Hoping this motivates the Tigers to do something dumb and the Astros to pony up for Robertson. Cleveland is legit, though one of the journos speculated that the Lucroy deal might be in danger.
July 31, 20169 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 07:47 AM) And this is why even had the sox season gone a little better we were still forcing issue. We had no farm to compete for deals like Indians did. And this officially makes the "one last run in 2017" plan lunacy for us. We're currently 9.5 games behind a team that's added Lucroy & Miller, both under control next year, and who still has arguably a better farm system then us. Blow this team up and look towards 2019 to be competive, when our young players might be ready and when we can finally flex our finacial muscle in an elite free agent class over our small market competitors.
July 31, 20169 yr I don't use WSDave for analysis often. But yeah, the Yankees just rebuilt their farm system with trading two relievers.
July 31, 20169 yr Miller is better than DRob but the difference isn't as pronounced as ERA says it is. Control and money are similar. Get it done, Rick.
July 31, 20169 yr QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 31, 2016 -> 08:01 AM) I don't use WSDave for analysis often. But yeah, the Yankees just rebuilt their farm system with trading two relievers. Wonder if they just became legit contenders for Sale.
