Deadpool officially jinxed the Cubs when he said my prediction about the Cubs and Indians meeting in the World Series when the Cavaliers won the NBA championship was the worst post of the year...but actually, predicted that way back in June. It was just a gut "confluence of historical forces" feeling at the time.

At any rate, let's see what J4L's new Murderer's Row can come up with in response tonight.

Hopefully a $184 million player on the bench again...in the ugly first year of that contract.

Good post. Good call by you.

Saw where wind is going to be howling out at wrigley this weekend. That's very bad news with Tomlin pitching

I saw that for Friday but blowing in Saturday and Sunday.

If you're not following @suethetrex on twitter, the Field Museum has been going back and forth with basically all the museums in Cleveland for the past 2 days and it's spectacular.

Teams that lost the first game of the WS have lost 12 of the last 13, and 17 of the last 19. In 7 game playoff series, the Cubs are 0-9 when they lose the first game.

Hopefully things will continue.

The Redsox had to win four in a row after losing the first three the year they broke their curse. I am sure the Cubs can handle the loss of game one staring them in the face.

Just saying.

Jorge Soler is your next contestant in right field roulette. I guess Bauer has huge reverse splits. And Contreras catching instead of Montero, the usual for Arrieta.

I read where the Cubby Bear is charging a $100 cover charge. Barley own and Dueces are charging $250 which includes drinks during the game and entre and an app. Are people really falling for this?

Yes and yes. Guy from work and his friends went to the cubby bear and spent 500 to get in.

Game 2 in 2005 was cold and wet, but it felt like 70 degrees in the stands. Greatest game I ever attended.

Bauer has nothing

Should never be starting. Of course they botch the relay

Seriously. I wish Brantley was healthy.

Hopefully Bauer can go 4 handing the ball off to Salazar or Merritt for another 3-4 innings.

He can't keep hanging that curve

at least based on MLB gameday, this ump's not giving the corners at all

edit: after the first two outs I was thinking that Arrieta was going to cruise out of the inning but that didn't exactly happen

Giving Arrieta a huge zone

He's actually been calling them right, with the exception of that pitch on 2-0 that was a ball that he called a strike.

Arrieta has been off the corners, and the ump is correctly not giving him those pitches, especially since he's been a bit wild.

Damn
