World Series: Indians vs. Cubs

Featured Replies

I always like to see a team win the series in front of their home fans. Obviously more stress now for Indian fans but the odds are still very good many of them will get to celebrate in person

Why won't these Cub fans and the local media admit that the series at Wrigley Field was terrible? All they do is focus on last night's win.

I was at ground zero yesterday. It was a decent party, if nothing else.

What was the mood like?

So, 2 full days off for Miller, he's easily got 3 innings in him between Tuesday/Wednesday if they can get him an opening. Basically, Cleveland needs a lead in the middle innings.

Tomlin for two, Salazar for two, Merritt to face Schwarber and Rizzo in 5th or 6th.

Festive. You wouldn't have known that they were facing elimination.

Hopefully the Indians can get to Arrieta early. and at least Crisp should be back in the lineup. Seems to be the only Indians OF getting hits (besides the Santana homer the other day and Rajai's hits yesterday.

Hopefully the lineup is:

Santana DH (ideally, he would hit in the middle but he can draw walks and get on base which a lot of guys on the team have struggled at.)

Kipnis 2B

Lindor SS

Napoli 1B

Ramirez 3B

Crisp LF

Davis RF/CF (Naquin hasn't done anything offensively but neither has Chisenhall)

Perez/Gomes C

Naquin CF/RF (for defense; Chisenhall is awful)

Something along those lines.

I am not surprised.

Cubs fans at work are back to being cocky. Tomlin and Kluber can't match what they did at Wrigley!!!! AL parks favor us!!!! Jake will save us!!!

So far this series, Bauer 7.2 IP and 5 earned runs (6.25 ERA). Non-Bauer Indians pitchers 36.1 IP and 4 earned runs (0.99 ERA). Thankfully Bauer won't be pitching again this series.

I haven't watched on TV or listened on the radio but have the Cubs hitters broken a record for most strikeouts in a World Series?

Why would it matter?

I hope Cleveland brings their can of Raid to eliminate the cockroaches known as the Cubs and their fans on Tuesday.

Vegas liking the cubs again. Sunday was a huge number for them -250 (that is insane for the world series and crazy for the regular season) today is a big world series road number -150 on them.

Game 7 will have them as a big favorite as well as cub nation will play them like crazy.

All of these people, lined up 10 hours before first pitch in Cleveland, will be disappointed to know no extra World Series tickets will be released today. Many are Cubs fans.

If I owned a bar around there, I would charge Cubs fans $200 to get in, and another $200 for a seat. Apparently they will pay it, and they must have some cash in their pockets.

If that's the case charge them 20 bucks a drink.

Isn't that already the going rate in Wrigleyville?

Would not doubt it. I am sure tonight Wrigleville bars will make another fortune.
