January 20, 20179 yr QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jan 19, 2017 -> 05:16 PM) In 93 games as a PH/spot IF starter for the Texas Rangers- .265 BA/.287 OBP/13 HR/37 RBI Unless Profar is traded to the Dodgers or something to fill their 2B void, he will be in this role.
January 20, 20179 yr Have to wonder why the Dodgers aren't at least a little interested in Lawrie. Obviously he is nothing special, but he's better than their internal options at the moment, and likely won't cost much to acquire.

He's not great but not bad, cheap at $3.5 mill, and wouldn't cost much to acquire like you said.

I too wonder why he's never mentioned with LAD. Supposedly they are looking for a right handed hitter which he is. Is he still hurt? Anyone hear injury update? Love to get Barnes from them for Lawrie, even if we have to add a little.

The only way he gets more is if we added in something like a reliever.
January 20, 20179 yr Yeah no way anyone gives us anything for Lawrie. 37 yer old Chase Utley gave them 2 WAR last year. Lawrie hasn't been able to do that since 2012

Fringe guy or two as the other poster said is probably what we're looking at.

Look at how much tibial varum (the bowing in) he has in his lower leg. His bone structure adds stress to either his knee or his feet. His issues manifested in his feet. This is not an easy issue to fix.

March 27, 20179 yr QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 27, 2017 -> 01:38 PM) He also has flat feet. The bony issues are what caused this. I would guess that they a functional pronated (flat) feet as opposed to structural.
