I don't think it's possible for Holland to pitch well enough for teams to actually trust starting him in a playoff game.

I think *at best* he could be seen as a depth piece for a possible contender. But I don't see any team holding off on trading for Q because they can get Derek Holland (obviously for significantly less, but still) instead.

Good you didn't see Moncada's stint in Boston last year. Besides his hitting, with his bad defense and mental errors you would have wanted him put on waivers.

Moncada clearly wasn't ready, and was 21 years old with ~100 AB at the AA level. Anderson is different, He's got 400+ ML AB. I said he has to change his approach. I was criticizing his approach, not him as a player. He's fine as a defensive player and sure he could turn it around. I was going on the combo of stats+eye test. He looks awful at the plate. Sometimes I don't communicate what I want to clearly.

Understood. But remember in those 400 ML AB he hit .282. For a shortstop that is above average. Guys have slumps. Judging anything on 7 games is not realistic especially for players going from 80 degrees to 50 degrees. Some players struggle with that alone.
