Hawk is f***ing rambling. Jesus.

Damn, did I miss a Catfish Hunter anecdote?

To those mentioning his contract even if Anderson completely busts it's not like his contract will be a problem, a minor inconvenience at worst.

Holland..

Its happening guys

You missed a Tyler Saladino/Cal Ripken Jr comparison lol

Really hope Holland, Gonzalez and Shields (realistically 2/3) can keep this up into early June.

Holland, in particular, if he can stay healthy. Heck, for the price the majority of potential playoff teams will favor him over Quintana.

To be fair he was just comparing their ability to get in front of the ball on D.

I don't think it's possible for Holland to pitch well enough for teams to actually trust starting him in a playoff game.

Yep but either way, 2 names that should probably ever be uttered in the same sentence.

Still can't put fastball in play

But for a team to trade for to help fill out a rotation to get to the playoffs? Sure.

I think *at best* he could be seen as a depth piece for a possible contender. But I don't see any team holding off on trading for Q because they can get Derek Holland (obviously for significantly less, but still) instead.

Jose is flying open big time at the plate. Another slow start for him

I remember when I still loved Jose as a player. Those days are gone.

Good you didn't see Moncada's stint in Boston last year. Besides his hitting, with his bad defense and mental errors you would have wanted him put on waivers.

Moncada clearly wasn't ready, and was 21 years old with ~100 AB at the AA level. Anderson is different, He's got 400+ ML AB. I said he has to change his approach. I was criticizing his approach, not him as a player. He's fine as a defensive player and sure he could turn it around. I was going on the combo of stats+eye test. He looks awful at the plate. Sometimes I don't communicate what I want to clearly.

Omar is really doing a poor job of framing the hook

Thats the third or fourth time he has done that, and not just the hook.

That is what qualifies as a "good jump" for Avi.

Understood. But remember in those 400 ML AB he hit .282. For a shortstop that is above average. Guys have slumps. Judging anything on 7 games is not realistic especially for players going from 80 degrees to 50 degrees. Some players struggle with that alone.

Jose is a slow starter. It's time white sox fans start recognizing it.

I'll take the slow April and May to get the July and August stats we usually see from him

Oh Asche...

Salazar just aced our lineup...that was embarrassing

Those were some bad AB's

Salazar splitter is disgusting, that k on Davidson fell off a table
