Burger goes deep, Collins and Zavala both 2-2 so far

I think Burger is going to pan out nicely.

There were higher upside players they could have taken, but I think he's going to fit a role in the window of winning in a few years that's going to be needed.

Zavala 3-3

Burger 3-4 with a HR and 4 RBIs. That's a day.

Collins as DH gets 2 hits, been a while since I remember a multi hit game for him (I'm sure someone will say he had one like last friday but we're working off MY memory)

Plenty of opportunity on the horizon for anybody who can hit.

Apply within.

27 PA, 1 strikeout so far at Kanny for Burger/Sheets

Walk off granny for Collins. He had no multi-hit games in June (I think) and has two in the last 3 days. Really pulling for the kid, obv.

Glad to see Nunez back. Hopefully he shows enough to make full season ball next year.

I'm really hoping we sport a lineup like this at Kannapolis next year:

1B: Reyes

2B: Nunez

SS: Curbelo

3B: Yurchak

LF: Dedelow

CF: Gonzalez

RF: Mercedes

C: Perez

DH: Zangari

That would be the most age appropriate we've sported in low A in years.

A really nice offensive night. I find it a wee bit interesting Collins did this as DH.

Is this Skougs first game?

Looks like it. 1-1 with a walk and a run. Logan Taylor playing too.

Michael Hickman playing well in AZ.

Boy great to see that out of Collins. He had a nice game even before the Slam. Up over .220, I think he bottomed out at like .206 a week or so ago.

Yurchak hits everything, huh?

Do people with MiLb.tv accounts get video highlights of all the games just like on MLb.tv? Are some people getting to see all the bombs, kopech Ks, hansen stuff etc?

OBP machine. Quickly becoming one of my favorite prospects in the system.

Awesome game for Collins. Nice to see the slam came off a LHP and it was a belt high fastball

The issue for Yurchak seems to be defensively. He's already committed 6 errors in only 17 games in rookie ball.

Unless the defense improves it will be tough for him to advance very far in the system.

Monster games for Burger and Collins.

Would think that we could see Burger in High-A fairly soon. Love that Burger and Sheets haven't been striking out at all.

Huge day for Collins, hopefully this is a confidence boost for him.

Zavala 3-3

Is he considered a prospect in the slightest? Amazing arm behind the dish, solid defense, and now a power bat that's increasing contact, almost 24 but probably our 3rd best C prospect behind Collins and Skoug now

With this season, and the rarity of good catching, he has to have a ton of value right now. Age isn't nearly as big of a deal when it comes to catching prospects.

Really hope Zangari comes back strong

Michael Hickman has been playing pretty well so far in AZ. Unsure what his C profile still looks like but his stats are nice. He's been playing some DH too.

Considering the sox recent philosophy of drafting bats first, I don't think it'll be crippling for him.
