8/22- Twins @ White Sox

Makes so much more sense. I get the allure of Engel, but I just don't see him ever putting it together offensively. Delmonico and Leury both have a chance to be part of the next good Sox team in some capacity.

Pretty negative opinion of a guy who has less then half a year in the big leagues

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 22, 2017 -> 06:51 PM)
Meanwhile I like what I'm seeing from Giolito

The Twins lineup disagrees.

That was glorious by Yoan

watched one of giolitos AAA outings 2-3 weeks ago and he was getting guys out almost exclusively with offspeed stuff. Tonight using his fastball. If he can consistently throw strikes with his fastball like this, his curve and change are good enough for him to easily be a #3

He's heating up!

Nice to see Yoan line a changeup into the gap

Yep it's very promising he's getting swings and misses on his fastball

Abreu infield single, Cuban speed is contagious

now that is a f***ing baltimore chop, great hustle Jose.

A nice easy swing that is again only a single for many hitters.

Abreu can actually bust it down the line for his size that's pretty good

Have you followed Engel throughout the minors? He has a very limited track record of success with the bat and is known for constantly tweaking things. I don't see him suddenly making the necessary adjustments to become an effective major league hitter. His plate appearances this season have only further cemented that opinion for me.

Come on delmonico, that wasn't even close.

There is nothing in his profile other than "4th OF" -- without a massive, highly unlikely improvement with the bat. You are 100% correct.

OK let's ruin this inning with a bunt.

Avi's pissed but those were both strikes

I honestly don't care if you call those...just be consistent with it.

I'm falling in love, yoyo

He's a super sub at best

The Sox emblem on the grass behind home plate has a screwed up O.

The man with the era over 6 gets out of 2 straight innings with bases loaded, one with nobody out. Maybe he would be a good closer.

Anderson again shows why he's one of the worst in baseball against a slider.

Anderson is having a night to forget
