2 white people killed...because they were part of a cute high school couple...tweet worthy, but it took him forever to make a definitive statement about Las Vegas, hoping there was a Muslim jihadist involved

I am shocked they let him keep tweeting. It just doesn't make sense why.

Jenks, this is the stuff that I'm talking about in the other thread though.  We can't normalize this type of authoritarian behavior from the President of the United States.  There needs to be forceful

I will never own a gun. That's my choice. That said; I will never say as an absolute that no one should own guns. There are parts of this country where guns are important for personal protec

Im with you.  Its all of the politicians.  they are so fucking afraid of the 2A people its shocking.  The amendment is there to make sure only the right people have guns, there are ways to do that.

What proof do you have that he used them other than they were in the room. Nobody saw him shooting. Nobody knows what he did during the shooting. The aftermath shows platforms set up outside the window. You can't use a bump stock on a stand. You focus on some nitpicking point and go on all day but that's the truth. I think you ate up the NRA's cookie crumbs that made everyone look at bump stocks instead of semi-automatic weapons.

LMAO. You concluded that bump stocks HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT HAPPENED IN LAS VEGAS, and write that. He used the guns with bump stocks attached. Audio analysis of one clip estimated that about 90 rounds were unleashed in only 10 seconds - far faster than a human being could repeatedly pull a trigger.

Again, source?

What other methods did he have available to shoot at the high rate he did? As far as I recall, none of his guns were full auto. 12 of them had bump stocks.

Sounds like a big school shooting down in Florida.

Reports are at least 20 are injured.

Maybe someday our government will actually give a f*** about doing something about this rather than being pawns for the NRA. Immigrant kills one person while drunk driving, take to twitter to suggest that immigration has to be dealt with immediately. Weekly school shootings, regular mass shootings, oh well, thoughts and prayers nothing we can do about it.

18 school shootings this year, but yes thoughts and prayers will fix everything

Multiple fatalities. Cant wait to hear about mental health being the issue

We need to do something about video games.

Just wait for the large numbers of law abiding gun owners to stop these shootings. I'm sure that will start happening any time now.

87 school shootings in the last 14 months.....

More bullying prevention/enforcement and ensuring schools do all they can to make kids feel welcome and loved will do more to prevent this stuff than more gun laws.

edit: to be clear, i'm not saying that reasonable gun legislation shouldn't also be a part of the solution.

Melania is all over that. The gun problem will likely go away soon with her awesome anti-bullying campaign.

Now's not the time guys. Thoughts and Prayers only, remember?

Not being able to acquire tools of death would help 100%. There is a reason the UK hasnt had a mass shooting in 20 years and we have them almost every week.

There were two armed police officers working at the school and they couldnt stop this.

Thirty total mass shootings in 2018 already.

It really sucks every time this thread makes its way to the top of the page. Almost a half a year ago this thread was started and nothing meaningful to help stop it has even been proposed.

Gotta get that NRA $$$

Incorrect!

Republicans are working a bill through the House right now that would force states to accept concealed carry permits from other states rather than allowing them to set and enforce their own rules! This will all make us safer.

This is what we do. Kill each other at school, church, all the time. So many problems in the US of A. Very very sad.

At least 16 dead, another AR-15 mass murder.

Thoughts and Prayers only, Now Is Not The Time To Discuss Guns (it is never the time)

In the rest of the world, there have been 18 school shootings in the last twenty years. In the U.S., there have been 18 school shootings since January 1--35 days.

People who own AR-15s do so because of tiny penises. There is no other good reason to own one.

Nope, the clear solution is to arm teachers and students and have everyone in America packing. I couldn't imagine anything safer.

If Sandy Hook couldn’t change anything, then nothing will.
