Cubs bullpen is good, but not great. That's why they traded for Chapman last year when they had to win it all. They are playing with house money now. Davis has been lock down but doesn't seem like a two inning guy.
there bulpon been alright it was good when they had chapman to eat two innings

Atrocious managing by Maddon

That game was a perfect example of why having a rigid role for your closer is dumb. Davis should have faced Harper and the middle of that order in the 8th, not Edwards. He should have started the inning. Your best pitcher should face their best hitters.

This is a good point. The same thing happened with AZ vs Colorado in the WC game. AZ almost left Bradley in too long during the 8th inning because Rodney is a 9th inning 3 out closer.

Or they need a lefty whose only job is to face Harper in that situation. Not sure if Duensing could be that guy
