What an absolute miracle he signed with the sox, and this happened during a Sox home game a couple miles from one of the best brain treatment facilities on the planet.

From the tone of some of the people who are more likely to know how Danny is doing than we are, this seems very, very grave. It is not all that uncommon to hear about healthy young people dying from brain hemorrhages — nobody is coming out and saying that may be the outcome here, but it looks like it may be that serious.

My partner is an ER physician.  It is really, really bad.  Really puts some things in perspective.  Hug your family members and friends.

Rush is the best facility around for aneurysm repair. I think he is safe for survival but will need rehab. He is basically a stroke victim.

There are a number of potential outcomes and unfortunately most of them are not good.

Hoping and praying for the best possible outcome.  Be strong Danny .

Nightengale was quoting KW. The poor guy had surgery last night. They had to crack his skull open to relieve some swelling and put a clamp on the affected area.

This is a one and done.

I just had to sign up to let the White Sox fans know the Farquhar is in our prayers. Though it's been a while, we experienced a similar event with J R Richard when he suffered a stroke on the field. He recovered and we pray that Farquhar does as well.

Thanks for the updates ! Nice to know he is on his feet.
