most frustrating thing I've watched this year for sure!!!   and it's "mind bottling"....you know, what happens when your thoughts get all trapped up like in a bottle.

Definition of mind-boggling : mentally or emotionally exciting or overwhelming

from Merriam Webster...

  • That state of mind where a series split against a good team is headline news here we come!!

  • So Covey is our best starter and Jace the best reliever. Before the year, I would have said that wouldn't be likely....in AAA

Yep sometimes you have to trust the eyes and not the pitch count

This is why Renteria will not last as a manager. Pains me to say it but I think Joe Madden takes him out after 7. Or at least after the first hit.

Can't wait for this team to have a real manager.

Jace making some horrible pitches unfortunately

Once everyone gets there and bad decisions happen under the microscope a change will be made. Unless they want Girardi....then they will need to pull the trigger next season.

So you think it was right to take him out when they did against Boston?

But I will say if he looked tired...stuff started to falter....or top of lineup was coming up then I would say it would be a good spot to take him out.

OIC

Indians really need to trade for Manny and Brach or Britton and stop playing Kipnis.

Good recovery by Fry. Kipnis is awful up there.

Literally the exact thing you described happened. He went out fore the next inning, started at 80 pitches, gave up a single on pitch 83 and was pulled. Right call?

Fuck yes!

Kinda calls into question the Sox' plan with their young staff having Narvaez as the primary backup to start the year.  Smith is competent defensively and any difference with Omar at the plate is nothing.

Didn't Smith get hurt in spring training?

Put Manny at 3B and Ramirez at 2B?  That would be a ridiculous infield.

OK Jace gets his own thread tonight.
