  • Looks like the game will get in. Rain should be out of the Twin Cities around game time.

The only thing it could screw up are those who bought tickets to see Kopech pitch. I doubt they would just skip Giolito.

Twins twitter said 6:40...that was 22 minutes ago. Not sure if it's true.

Either Yolmer changed his name again or the guy filling in for Gene Honda during the weekend is a doucebag. He was calling him Yol mare

No idea why Anderson leads off. His OBP is abysmal

How/when is Moncada going to learn to hit lefties?  Winter ball?

Cause we’re rebuilding and Moncada is out?  Seems pretty clear cut to me.

Atta boy Gio.

Giolito is at least trending in the right direction.  It does seem worst case scenario now he’ll at least be a solid back of the rotation type.

Gio looking more sharp and confident up there. Great to see him improve

Anderson statistically has hit LHP very well over the course of his career  - a .302 AVG.

Pretty sure he's been really good leading off games

Electric atmosphere at the game

Anderson with a blast :)

Abreu wants his hundo

Nice to see the Sox not making a guy making his ML debut look like Cy Young out there.

Especially for the twins ?

Note to announcers: No Gonzalez is not the pitcher's name.

Avi needs a game off, he’s pressing up there

In other news, Basabe has been en fuego lately.

Crazy that it will be 2019 and we’ll still have no idea what we have in Avi.

Too many walks again for Giolito

With that kind of movement, Giolito will be fine at 93-95. Woof. That is really nasty Greg Maddux shit right there.

That was more Adrianza just got out guessed there.

He has been. His AA K-rate is about 33% which isn't going to cut it, but in his last 20 at-bats he at least has brought the K rate down to about 25%. Kid has electric skills across the board, speed, power, quick hands, good D, just gotta make sure the contact is there.
