I think we've settled the question of whether Lopez belongs in the rotation or not...

Because of one good start?

I think he'd be best suited for your Soxtalk group located under your username on your posts

"Why would they trade for Abreu when they have Greg Bird??" Granted, Abreu is on the DL right now, but the idea that Bird isn't worth upgrading was funny to me

That heater to strikeout Romine was f***ing gas

Nice outing for Lopez.

Yankees really messed up not upgrading their first base position at the deadline

Remember when Balta said Abreu wouldn’t be a worthwhile upgrade over Bird...whoops.

There's a webgem for Madrigal! Wow! Walsh tipped a chopper over his head with his glove, Madrigal sprints across second to grab it, makes a jumping, Jeter-esque throw from the hole. Got him by an inch. What a play.

(Take that, Madrigal detractors/haters/skeptics.)

Who dat?

Some add on runs would be nice here.

If Lopez can resurrect the curve for good and command the changeup, Lopez will be a quality major league starter.

Davidson really sucks!  Isn’t there anyone down on the farm that can be brought up to play first base?

Davidson has just looked so lost since April. Can't wait until he's not taking ABs anymore. Honestly, Rondon should be getting his 3B/DH ABs now anyway.

I am forced to listen to the Yankee broadcasters over MLBN. These guys are some real duds. There was a lineout to1st and they said it was a liner to third. Now they are ragging on Lopez saying he was just lucky tonight

Yolmer with a nice glove play over there

Wow Sanchez. And lol stanton

Yolmer Sanchez! Sign that man to a long term contract. Money is no object

Lopez has great stuff, not just goof stuff.   All plus pitches - 97mph fastball, good change, slider and curve.   He is a competitor as he showed in this game at Yankee stadium during a pennant run for them with all the pressure on them.  Man can we have a good rotation if these guys keep up.

The last several games, including this series at Yankee stadium, have been fun to watch. Entertaining baseball.  That play on the wild pitch by Kevan Smith and Reynaldo was freaking awesome.   Go  .... you.... White .... Sooooooooxxxxx!

I really just wish Yoan would have one of those breakout 3-4 games with a couple of xbh...:like anytime

Perfect, by using Fry, Ricky has given himself an excuse to use Minaya and Gomez tomorrow instead of Burr or Vieira

Who are these Ghost pitchers of whom you speak?

With the exception of the unfortunate 8th and 9th innings of last night’s game, the Sox dominated the Yankees in 25 of the other 27 innings played in this series, and in their home ballpark, no less.  Very nice!

Closer stuff from Jace

Yes, screw you Yankees

Fry must just be impossible to pick up the ball on.
