2018 World Series - Red Sox v. Dodgers

Featured Replies

Should be a good Series, though I'm not sure I really care who wins. Probably leaning Red Sox.

I'm really just hoping Sale wins his games.

  • I think it could depend on Sale's health. If he is sub-par, then I think the series could be a 6-7 game dogfight.

Pretty good example of what is both great and bad about the playoffs in tonight's game. Every pitch counts.  If the catcher's mitt moves at all, it's a ball. Both Kershaw and Sale threw a bunch o

Game 2 close. Price threw a ton of change ups to stifle the 'Stros his last start, 43%. Guess who he is giving credit to for learning the change up. None other than James Shields.

Yup - couldn't care less who wins this round, however both teams are pretty stacked. BOS has been the best team all year so kudos to them, they deserve to be here, and the Dodgers went out and made every move possible to be here (with the big win of Machado at the trade deadline).

So, while I'm not a fan of either -- they both deserve to be here without a doubt.

Can’t see the Red Sox not winning they have kept there form and beat the Astros fairly comfortably in the end while LA have had a tiring battle against a dogged Brewers team .

Red Sox will win in 5 games.

Chris Sale is finally pitching in the World Series in a Sox jersey. Way to go Kenny and Rick!

What do they pay for tender-arm lefties these days. Unfortunate for Chris to be on the big stage with his shoulder not 100%.

If the catcher's mitt moves at all, it's a ball. Both Kershaw and Sale threw a bunch of pitches that looked good but were called balls.

With analytics, players are more patient. The strike zone is tiny. So, the games take forever - especially in the playoffs.

I went to bed in the 7th. The game was already well over 3 hours long.

Yeah that and commercial breaks are about a minute longer I believe. In a baseball game, that adds up.

I still hate how the default move is always pull the starter now the second they have any trouble and I hope it continues to bite the dodgers in the behind.

Madson ruined Nats season and now doing his best to do the same to the Dodgers

Boston has been a juggernaut this whole playoffs. I need them to drop at least one, though...

They’re firing from all cylinders. At this rate, they will sweep the Dodgers.

So if four inning starters is the new thing does that make Matt Davidson our hoss out of the pen.

Machado just stared down his hit that went all the way to the wall and dropped his bat thinking he had a home run, and turned a stand-up double into a single. Not bright.

I don't approve of MM's antics sometimes. NY can have him IMO

I got 4 more hours of work so it can take as long as it needs to lol

Wow.

Win tomorrow and I can totally see Boston falling apart.

Just finished watching the re-run , I could have watched the last few innings live , I think it finished about 9:30 am here.

In the last 28 innings of this series the 2 teams have combined to score 5 runs.

The last two of those runs were from throwing errors and the next one is too.

Alex Cora asleep at the wheel leaving E Rod In this long. Heck of a performance though.
