After watching Iowa wet the bed against PSU (luckily I gave up and missed the 4th), I just wanted a great series...pulling for a Game 7 and a Dodgers’ win, simply because the Red Sox winning four in 15 years is boring. Still incredibly challenging to beat a team like Boston three in a row, even at home. Edited October 28, 20187 yr by caulfield12

October 28, 20187 yr So Red Sox up 3 games to 1 now . Machado stepped on Pearce's heal at 1st on his ground out in the 9th. Wonder if he kicked or stepped on anybody during the season.
October 28, 20187 yr A-Rod says analytics don't work in October. Dave Roberts taking out Hill? Hmmm ... hopefully the analytics zealots will be reeled in a bit. No common sense in baseball anymore? Hill coulda kept pitching. Analytics says get him out of there before he gets hit hard.

October 29, 20187 yr This is the first time I'm gonna say this - Roberts get your starter out of there. That last curve ball was completely hung and that was after the fastball left the park.
October 29, 20187 yr Sale closing it out. Do it Sale! I'm gonna pretend he's a White Sox for a minute
October 29, 20187 yr Man I don't how to feel seeing Sale strikeout the side to win the World Series. Who can beat Boston next year?
October 29, 20187 yr I think the Dodgers have overachieved the last couple years. Not sure if it is Roberts fault

What a team effort . So many guys had great moments for the Red Sox. Total team victory. A great team. Fanfare for the common baseball travelin' man ,Steve Pearce MVP. Combined a little Ricky Nelson and Emerson Lake and Palmer there.
October 29, 20187 yr I've never been so disinterested in a WS in my life. Really didn't want to see Sale winning a ring with another team so I'm staying off baseball twitter until the WS stuff passes over.

He's a pretty great platoon bat for a team in need of a corner outfielder/1B to go with a lefty. Edited October 29, 20187 yr by soxfan2014

Freese and Pearce are both good lefty mashers, just crazy to see them in such prominent lineups spots in the World Series in 2018, but that's baseball today.
October 29, 20187 yr Happy for Sale and for Dave Dombrowski, who got his start as an unpaid intern under Roland Hemond with the Sox and has basically had success every where he went after Hawk foolish fired him.

Yeah, weird that Freese would be hitting lead off instead of like 3rd.
