Featured Replies

Down 1-0 after half an inning. Outside of one pitch hit 600 feet he looks better, I guess

  • I don't really care about spring training Giolito. It has proven to be a false indicator before.

  • Main thing with Giolito is he's at least missing some bats in between getting hammered on his mistakes. There's a clear Gavin Floyd comparison but it's becoming a very optimistic one.

    now he is awake

Hoping they let Giolito go at least 4 innings today.

He's such an enigma. He looks fantastic one inning and awful the next.

He’s just terrible from the stretch. Given how many guys he walks, this adds up. He just does so many little things poorly (pitch from stretch, hold runners, etc)

I do wonder why in the hell is McCann hitting so high in the order this spring?

Moncada walked but took 2 close pitches that could have been strikes. Wish he would be more aggressive.

It really is scary how similar he is to Gavin Floyd.

Gavin’s hook was infinitely better

why is the sox fan in the 2nd row sleeping?

My guess: Hamels is lefty, and he's a career .797 ops hitters vs. lefties, and so this year we are going to see a whole bunch of terrible platoons.

I'm talking more about mentally and when a runner gets on they both seem to fall apart.

I see Benetti is still as annoying as ever.

That would make sense if Beef was left-handed.

Edit: just checked Beef's career splits. Yep, he's great against lefties. Grab a first-base glove for one of them and get them both in against lefties.

If he turned into gavin floyd at this point it would be a massive success.

At this point he might have to match Lance Broadway’s acting success

This is what happens when you cant repeat your mechanics because you've changed them so many times you're not even sure what they are.

He's not good.

Brooks Boyer pushing product right now as we enjoy watching Giolito try to pitch baseballs riding a unicycle.

These are never interesting but it has felt more than ever like the manager, boyer, etc sound defeated knowing they are pushing trash.

I don't know if I can go another season of hope-watching Giolito. It's maddening.

I didn't call them good platoons!

Haha! They both have better career numbers against lefties that Alonso so you may be on to something...haha

Yoyo!
