Very exciting draft!

 

I am just thrilled to have actual baseball to talk about again.  The thing I have missed more than anything the last three months is competitive sports.

So is this thread going to continue for actual selections? Or a different one?

The extra year meaning his personal development. Bitsko is 17 years old. You basically have him for his senior year of high school professionally to develop as you wish. He's also a year younger physically. I'd much rather have the kid I can create younger with a great build.

ALso, Detmers is Patrick Corbin comp wise; it's stupid how similar they are imo.

I still wouldn't take Bitsko - wouldn't touch a high school righty in the first round personally. I'd just rather he than Abel. I really don't care much about peak stuff in high school - rather you peak later as a pitcher personally.

Mlb Network just mentioned Bitsko has only thrown 33 high school innings and 10 innings in showcases. Crazy!!!!

My favorite player in the draft is Max Meyer. If he were a couple of inches taller, he'd be a legit 1-1 candidate.
