You are right, both Goldschmidt and Konerko are balding. ?

Great...so you're saying we drafted a balding manlet?

He's going to be the next Larry Bird.

Wait round 2 is tonight isn’t it?

He's hoping for them to "really" slip

What about Steve Garvey for a Vaughn comp?  .300 hitter, about 20-25hr power, not very fast, and short

I expect more power than that.

Ah you are correct. I'm use to the 1st round being one night for some reason. But hey... if they really slip, I'm all for it.

Yeah, factor in the juiced ball era too.

Ok, how about Dick Allen?  Also a manlet first baseman under 6'0 who couldn't run and hit about .300.

His future power is 70 grade I believe.  20-25 would be a pretty big drop in pop projection.

Paul Goldschmidt stole 25-35 bases per year in his 20s. Vaughn isn't going to do that.

Honestly, most likely his ceiling is Konerko with an outside chance of Bagwell.

Frank was otherworldly and probably a top 10 hitter in baseball history. He was right there with Jr and pre-roids Bonds. You never expect anyone to be Frank Thomas.

Jack, about 1.2 of Goldschmidt's career WAR is tied to his baserunning. That's 1.2 of 37.3 career WAR. I'm not sure why you continue to bring up stolen bases for a 1st baseman as if that's adding a ton of value.

His ceiling is not Paul konerko.

Sure, I'll take a future rookie of the year and MVP

Priester is the only prep arm that has been popped so far yea?

My stomach dropped to the floor when I realized I may have watched 2 additional hours of Harold Reynolds for nothing.

How about Derrek Lee if he was hitting from his knees?

All right.  It's settled.

Dick Allen is the official player comp for Andrew Vaughn

Yeah. Imagine if the kid was from Florida.

There goes the second prep arm.

Vaughn's ceiling is Jimmie Foxx.

That sucksssss

Matt Stairs with less hair, thinner, better hit tool and more power.

Dammit...there goes Espino and to the Indians no less.

goddammit!!!

His stuff is nasty

Can someone explain to me why the other pitchers with 94 MPH velocity and two pitches went before this kid?
