All the Sox bench scrubs coming through tonight.

Contract extension for Renteria before this all goes poof!

Giolito has to be wondering why the boys couldn't do this an inning ago so he could get the win.

They were winning when Gio took the mound last inning.

Just want to point out Yonder was hitting .262 with a .380 OBP against lefties before this game. So there appears to be a method to the madness lol

50 plate appearances?  Eh...

NOOOOOOOOOOO

Well, if this was last year, Marshall would have surrendered 2-3 of Giolito’s inherited runners.

Uh, that was a strike Leury

Pretty awful AB for Leury but oh well

Why does everyone think that Gio is going to revert to sucking? He's been facing some patient and damn good offenses the last two starts. Obviously what he did vs the Astros and jankees doesn't matter.

He's still missing bats. He's gonna be fine.

As has been mentioned - I'll take the 700 AB career sample size over the 42 AB 2019 sample size.

Send it to the moon Timmy.

Blow it wide open Tim

Big day for Eloy (again)

He honestly looked pretty nasty most of the night. He just had a few moments where he lost his command a little. Being worried is silly.

Ah you're right. Forgot about that walk in run.

Stuff is still good, his command is starting to get scary though. No need to freak out yet though.

Might be one of Timmy's worst games in the bigs.

Not big at all but still. Better than the .157 AVG against righties.

The last three years (2016-18), Alonso 635 vs. lhp and 788 ops vs. rhp.

He pitched well tonight. Should have only given up 2 runs. Managed 7K‘s, on the road in Boston, I‘ll take that from anyone. He lost his release point in the 6th inning.

Agreed and that was my point.

From his first AB the ump was screwing him. His already swing happy approach was affected by that this AB.

He didn't have a feel for his slider or change. He was also falling all over the mound. Still had a lot of life on his fb. I'm not worried at all. The usual suspects are going to hate on him regardless though.
