Up to this stage in the rebuild, you can see what it'll be like when the rebuild is finished (being patient when a good pitcher is wild like the Cubs were yesterday) vs what it's like now (swinging at ball 3 and 4 when a good pitcher is wild).

That was a ball, but blame yourself for swinging at garbage pitches and helping out the pitcher. Hendricks was literally pitching around him.

Gotta protect. He swung at that same pitch on 2-0 too.

awful with risp. especially against the cubs.

I'm fine with that zone if both pitchers get it.

There are teams like the Oakland A’s that won’t do it.  It’s an organizational mentality.  If Leury bunted on his own, Ricky has given him the idea that he can do it on his own when he sees fit.  Either way, it’s an old and archaic mentality that led to zero runs.  It’s time to change this “antiquated bs” as fathom put it.
