December 19, 20196 yr Just got an email about Sox Flash Sale for Sox fest tickets. Methinks they signed Gio now so that there wouldn't be a lack of sales.
December 19, 20196 yr Had to step away for awhile. No word on dollars yet? Looks like 1 year deal has been confirmed.

December 19, 20196 yr LOVE Gio. To this day still my favorite pitching prospect I ever got to watch when he was on the Barons. Oh and lol KW. I'll always remember you saying you would never deal Gio and then you do it... a second time. Edited December 19, 20196 yr by SoxAce
December 19, 20196 yr Really solid signing. With Kopech and Dunning and Stievers all potentially in the pipeline ...for the second starter this is a under the radar move that all should support. His numbers last year were good and quite honestly he got over shadowed in Washington because their great rotation. Happy with some progress. Edited December 19, 20196 yr by EloyJenkins
December 19, 20196 yr By the way, Gio is actually a Boras client. Obviously this doesn’t mean as much when signing old vets to cheap one year deals but maybe this helps grease the wheels to a bigger Ryu / Keuchel signing?

If the Sox are the highest bidder on any Boras client it's hard for me to believe he'd instruct them not to take it.
December 19, 20196 yr Dont think for one second that this didnt have something to do with grandals opinion if him last year in Milwaukee

You know I was looking that up to see if he was a Boras guy but I saw he was a CAA client and before that Aces client so never posted it. Which website says he's a Boras guy. BR said CAA and before that it was ACES. Edited December 19, 20196 yr by CaliSoxFanViaSWside Mistake on current agent listed ACES instead of CAA

Mr. Jenkins you're getting me excited with all that pitching coming up the pipeline. And throw in Cease and Giolito and in 1 or 2 years wow!
