  • Guys, bmags has made me more confident that an agreement is coming than I have ever been

  • Lots of people care, actually. I want to see this White Sox team play baseball. I also don't want to see friends in many industries like radio, tv, advertising, media, scouting etc fired because there

And I don't get why people refuse to wear masks. It's easy, and it shows others you actually give a fuck about something other than yourself.

It's crazy how people have responded to that simple request.   Live your life as you normally would, except in situations around many people you should wear a mask to protect yourself and everyone around you. Why is that so angering?

It's not fair to compare both

a) soccer to baseball, as the ball is not touched by a player's hands other than by the goalie, who wears gloves or when the ball goes out of bounds.

at least one player(the pitcher) touches the ball with his hands every play in baseball.

b) South Korea's situation vs the US situation, as SK has been one of the absolute best countries in the world at keeping covid under control.

For example, the NPB just had to shut down because players tested positive. They still haven't started a season in Japan yet.

There is far more contact and breathing in each other face in soccer. This is far more direct than going from hand to hand.

It became a political statement.

I agree. It's not hard. Many people will complain its too hot especially now. Too bad just wear it around other people then get out of that situation and take it off.

yep.

It drives me crazy, that most of the people that I see not wearing masks, are the exact people that need the protection.  Its like, we are all doing this to save your life, you could at least give the smallest shit about it.

Point taken.

Have the done a good job in the EPL at keeping players healthy?

This whole COVID situation has become a political statement.  At one point 26 states were opening and 24 were remaining closed (numbers may not be exact).. Well it turns out all 26 states were republican, all 24 for democrat.... The whole thing is political.

Also, if Baseball comes back now would be a good time to make the move to an automatic strike zone. Obviously they'll still need umps for safe/out calls but you can really back the HP ump off except for plays at the plate. Social distancing is a good excuse for this.

COViD is not going away anytime soon.    However, it could decrease to such low levels that life could return to normal if everyone would wear a mask for 6 months.   Since it’s not happening, I think Jack is closer to being right than being wrong.   Sporting events will not happen in front of a live audience for 2-3 years minimum.    It’s a sad state of affairs but we have to look at science for the answers.

I'd be willing to take that bet lol

About time you knuckleheads

Unfortunately, you are correct.

No, regardless which side your on (if you want to be open or closed) that should infuriate you.  That's everything this country does and argues over now is so fucking political.  Not a right/wrong.
