Well if Robert is just going to make all the plays for the right fielder, I withdraw my objection to Delmonico out there.  Hell, throw Mercedes out there.

  • My wife was complaining the other day about Abreu and the chaw in his lip...and I thought "Oh No, do I have to hear about that at home too?"

Dunning should be up in about a week.

Very impressive.

Didn’t realize Benetti was also doing KBO broadcasts in the middle of the night.  That dude is always working, pretty much year-round.

He’s been doing Friday and Saturday night, mostly with Jessica Mendoza. I would assume that’s done now.

GREAT at bat by Moncada no matter the outcome. At the right side at that.

Well there goes Moncada stealing bases this year.. :)

Rodon in the rotation confirmed?

Looks like one of those games where Yermin or Collins will walk it off.

I think the Sox have got to go with guys like Dunning, Vaughn, and Madrigal. Maybe they're not quite ready, but better than leaving our top prospects to rot on the vine, even if to just get a few appearances. These guys should be primed for '21. Actually if it were up to me I'd just pencil Vaughn straight into the lineup. This guy is a can't miss with the bat. He might not be able to match Encarnacion level production right away, but, with no minors for him to get live action, Sox should still be more concerned about the future than the 2020 dice roll.

He;s been talking all the time about wanting to start as if him being in relieve was distasteful to him.

Well, you don't see that HR all the time.

Why's that? Not watching the game here

Not happening.   Madrigal, Collins and Dunning will get their chances, though.

Rack Em Up!

RF musings:

They have to either break camp with Madrigal and play Leury there or give Basabe or Gonzalez a shot. Delmonico is not major league quality in any way.

I'd rather not give away runs to Minne and Cleveland by playing a butcher in RF.

Yeah I know, but Id do it if I were in charge. I think he's at least top eight hitter in the organization already. Give him a hundred major league at bats and he'll be adjusted IMO.

Collins should make the opening day roster and has a good chance to stick all year.

Collins looks dangerous

Remind me, have you always vocally liked or disliked Collins? I distinctly remember you having a strong opinion on him but don't recall the direction.

Yeah, I thought he was pretty much pencilled in all along
