Same shit every year no matter who hitting coach is

It could be that Moncada is the only good hitter they have.

Could be a streaky team. Bottom line, they went 8-7 the first 15. If they do that three more times, they’re in the playoffs. But it’s looking ugly right now, and the injuries don’t help. Is Bummer supposed to be back after 10 days?

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I could be totally off base here, but I feel like a huge proportion of our offensive production is home run based. Like in our current predicament, our only hope is if we get a few big swings. One run was difficult, two is downright intimidating. We'll score twelve runs on occasion, but it's because we hit five bombs in the game. Smack two singles and a double? Operate our offense as a cohesive unit? Never heard of it. Compound it all with a seriously idiotic approach, like swinging at the first pitch after a pitcher throws eight straight balls.

I'd like for our offense to not be super aggravating anymore.

There is not a coaching staff in baseball that has their team less ready to compete on a day to day basis.

Scary thing is I’m not sure how they fix this.  Awful free agent acquisitions on the offensive side have become the norm, so it’s hard to count on that.

Do you think Grandal has been bad? Aside from the power outage he's been ok. I'd think that will come.

Oakland would be 17-0 with this amount of talent in their lineup

Mendick triple!  Great at bat

Go Go Mendick!

Mendick just hits.

Everything is magnified because of the short season. If they started off 8-8 in a normal year I'd be pumped.

Mendick triple!

Mendick has been the best bat on the team since Nick wend down lol

Elevate ball here Adam

Mendick

Now can anybody bring him home

This team is really hard to watch... can’t imagine what the ratings look like by the 7th inning. Gotta be like 80 of us still tuned in and not sleeping on the couch

Just a sac fly Engel. NO POP UPS.

Or a ground ball.

Will be really fucking sad that detroit makes playoffs over white sox.  They should just not have a hitting coach as the shitty approach never changes.

Yes, he’s been very average but he’s hitting too high up in the order. I was thinking more of Encarnación.

Good job by Engel. Thanks for not throwing slider.

good job Engel

Great job by Engel.

Engel gets Mendick home!
