Just turned the game on and went through the game thread. Sounds like incompetence and unpreparedness are the only words to describe this.

I don’t think it’s possible to hit the ball any weaker than the Cards did this inning. 

Cue Jack Parkman about Lucas Giolito not giving up a hit out of the infield there...but still getting "killed" by a thousand cuts, mostly self-inflicted.

I just want to see some fight instead of just always rolling over. Even if we lose. Let’s make them earn it.

Well, on the plus side there (I guess), Abreu error on that very difficult play makes the run unearned.

Still seems like the first ball nubbed by Fowler by the mound was more of an error than the Abreu one where he couldn't make the flip on a fast runner hustling down the line.

Well, seeing that this is the hallmark of the Hahn Regime since 2013...and Renteria for 2+ seasons, I guess anesthetized detachment is the best reaction when things never seem to change...at least not on a consistent basis.

Giolito has over 80 pitches in 4 innings of work. Wainright has under 60 in 4 innings. Sox have 1 hit, and an error. Cardinals have 5 runs. That basically tells me the story of the game. Incompetence and unpreparedness.

I'm legit concerned Eloy might be Delmon Young at this point. 

Too early to make any conclusions about Robert. 

Moncada has been fine and even if he goes into a slump for a bit covid is a legit injury as there are more issues with it than just being sick.
