That play was self induced, way closer than it should have been

I don’t think so.

  • The Sox starters are some of the most ill-prepared to begin a game I've ever seen. And that's a reflection on their useless pitching coach.

WTF are you talking about.   To be fair though, I ask that myself for about 80% of your posts

He caught a foul ball off the net, making it a dead ball, and people are mad that he didn't immediately throw the ball in (again, it was a dead play)

We need a manager that is gonna bring some fire to this team and light a spark under these guys asses....what the hell was that....

Expectations were so high. And sadly to say A short season is going to seem sooo long.

Damn Carlsson might have to go in the weight room.

That should've been 10 rows back.

I can't believe I'm saying it but we need an Adam Eaton type to crawl up some of these guys' asses or go bananas on a cooler.  Everybody is way, way too comfie, as usual.  No threat of a benching for sloppy play.

We need players that care about winning more than changing the game so much that it's put on the damn shirts. The game is fun when you WIN.

PHEW...

Robert was just coasting along the warning track like he was running 200's at about 75-80% just to warm up before the game and break a slight sweat.

When u don’t look at first and ur staring in the glove of the catcher, that’s on Giolito.

I think every player wants to win, clearly, but I don't think some of them know the mental attitude needed.  It's a fine line between playing loose and playing casual.  Too often under Renteria this group is playing casual, not loose.

Oookay Nomore Mazero please

So much for the prodigious Mazara power there....more like warning trackish.

We’re technically a game over .500 and wouldn’t be a playoff team at the moment.  This team needs to find a sense of urgency because even with AL teams making the postseason we may not be one of them if we keep just giving games away.

Because there is no accountability from the manager. He cares about babying his players and has zero sense of urgency.

Mendick just continues to hit.

Any damn time Mazara wants to do something would be welcome

Mendick the only one if the entire offense who showed up so far today...

You'd definitely take a 729 OPS out of Mendick and be happy with that...if he can maintain it.

2 of the 3 best ABs today, the other was the 4 pitch Robert walk....they have zero approach at the plate

What exactly is on Giolito? Focus on the hitter, or throwing out the runner?

Toronto and Texas seem to be our competition for the final two spots. Toronto is going to hit a billion homers in that bandbox.

Keeping the runner honest at first base is part of his job.....

9 swing and misses in 98 pitches...not fooling many folks out there.

And because he, just like the GM, don’t know how to win
