Still wasn't worth giving up a player for him.

Worth a gamble yes but there was a dire need for left handed hitting and relying on a ‘lab experiment’ was not the way to go.  Also the fact that Grandal suck hasn’t helped either

  • The Sox starters are some of the most ill-prepared to begin a game I've ever seen. And that's a reflection on their useless pitching coach.

WTF are you talking about.   To be fair though, I ask that myself for about 80% of your posts

He caught a foul ball off the net, making it a dead ball, and people are mad that he didn't immediately throw the ball in (again, it was a dead play)

Relying on him to be the starting RF when there was other options that may have just cost money is a stupid bet.

Jose w some ugly swings

No arguments. The options that only cost money were all right handed and they desperately need another left handed hitter though. We'd all have rather traded for Pedersen and we'll leave it at that.

Kole Calhoun would be tied for our team lead in HR.

They said in the first game the Sox have given up the most runs 1st inning all of MLB

I did not hear that...but I would almost assume it.

Ozzie won’t be back as analyst at this rate.. This organization does not have much of a tolerance for criticism. See Piercall,  Jimmy And Caray, Harry...Jerry Will probably hire  Chisoxfan Mike instead

Good god, anybody but that meatball dope

Mazara was worth the gamble. At least they only wasted 50 games on him rather than 162. He's only been back for a week though, so maybe give him some more time. If Mazara doesn't work it didn't cost much.

I'd definitely like to see a straight platoon of Collins and Encarnacion the rest of the season, even though I'm not a fan of Collins. Make sure that he sucks before moving on.

Jack: A straight platoon of Collins and EE reduces at bats for Grandal/McCann. Not sure that improves the offense.

Unless he is willing to grab some bench during year 3, and possibly year 2, it will get ugly.

I stand corrected. What I meant is that EE's ABs vs RHP should go to Collins.

Collins has no spot on this team. Only useful as an emergency catcher when both Grandal and McCann are in the lineup
