That was bad.  Someone miss a sign?

Looked like a hit and run, Mazara ran, Nicky swung he just didn't make contact on a bad pitch

Pregaming at the Revolution Brew Pub. While I hope pregame Thunderstruck is a permanent casualty of COVID, because well, 15 years and AC/DC, Revolution’s imperial stout Thundertaker is very good.

  • This night just got so so much better.

  • Uh, yeah

Amazing how many black holes the number one offense in the AL has

Those players are a black hole lately. I can give you the numbers if you dont know how to look them up yourself

That wasn’t Nomar’s fault.

Ooooow I like that big curveball.

yikes.

Damn it!

It was a low and away off speed pitch that Madrigal missed on the HnR....sadly, the same pitch our entire lineup almost, would swing and miss on.

And then there is that...

39 pitches, no whiffs

Stiever missed his spot.

Probably not.  He still isn't good.

Stiever not ready for prime time

Went back and watched it. He took a big hack instead of just trying to guide the ball.  I love the call from Ricky.

This is a pretty rough lineup, with the bottom being so bad. But hopefully, 2-5 can get some offense going, and we can stop giving up home runs.

Nope but it's ok.  He wouldn't be here if Hahn acquired a starter at the deadline.

Fewer Yolmer at bats in the future please...

Yolmer only got 11 PAs so far this year for the sox, that is just to give anderson a day off.

Madrigal just missed on the hit and run. Generally madrigal is missing more for his standards. His swstr rate is still elite at 4.2 but that is twice as high as last year in the minors. Imo that is not a bad thing as it seems to come from an effort to swing harder which is good.

Feels like a throw away game tonight. After clinching a playoff spot the team looks like they are just going through the motions. Meanwhile the Reds are fighting for a playoff spot.

Just got home. Excited to see stiever pitch. And votto...I actually played against him in high school a couple times. Guy was unreal.

This is a tough series for the Sox. Reds have a lot more to play for right now.

Good god. Warm Gonzalez up already. Stiever's got nothing

i'm not sure what the point is in trotting him out there with this stuff.

That's not good.

Yeah he's not ready

He’s nowhere near MLB ready. Definitely not ready to help in relief as well. Not good when DJ calls your fastball a change up

lmfao.  about time to turn this one off.  Get the pen up Rick.  Kid doesn't have it.

I kind of had a feeling this was going to be a tough one to watch. They were probably up until 3 am and they were all flying after most of their biggest game in the pro careers

Oh, and the guy pitching for Cincy is a RHP with a good slider :)
