Wow, this is as bad as I’ve seen. No way is he healthy.  64 pitches, no whiffs.

Absolutely no chance they bring him up if he wasn't healthy

Pregaming at the Revolution Brew Pub. While I hope pregame Thunderstruck is a permanent casualty of COVID, because well, 15 years and AC/DC, Revolution’s imperial stout Thundertaker is very good.

  • This night just got so so much better.

  • Uh, yeah

thought it was dumb that he was pitching after 2 strait walks and already getting launched.

If that stuff doesn’t improve, he’s never going to be ready.

I agree.  His velocity is nothing close to what was advertised.

You can’t let him start his next turn in the rotation.

I'm glad the Stiever family wasn't on camera for that.

This game is the best chance of victory for us against the Reds. Next two pitchers will be tough.

Has he always thrown low 90s? Or does he usually throw harder?

Yeah, especially since Winker is lefty. He clearly didn't have it after the Votto homer.

Who’s Sunday

I don't know what Ricky was looking at the previous few at bats.  But clearly the kid doesn't have it and shouldn't be pitching to any more batters.  Though truthfully he never should have been in this position to begin with and that's another failure of Hahn.

you could see that coming a mile away.  not even competitive stuff at the MLB level right now.

Lorenzen.

It's very possible that his next MLB appearance is 2022. No fault of his own. He's just not ready.

He’s throwing a good 3-4 mph slower than last year.  There was no crispness on his pitches.  Actually reminds me of when Kopech was throwing slower despite saying he was ok.

Why not just start Gonzales in this game?

It's Gonzalez. And are you having some TT?

Cause he can't go more than 2-3 innings. He's not stretched out to be a starter right now.

But you also can't really pull him in the second or third here and make it a bullpen game.  In a clincher you do that but not in this situation. Here you just have to hope he gets through and otherwise you just lose the game.

I blame this game on DJ for being in the booth.

Cleveland’s offense sucks but I don’t see how you can start him in a consequential division game now.

Just pull Moncada and Abreu please.  This one is over no reason not to rest guys.  Hell you already conceded starting Steiver.

Poor kid. Tough game for him. If they don’t gain ground in a couple innings I’d rest the regulars. At least we may see crochet pitch.

Maybe it's nerves or trying to aim the ball but they wouldn't bring him up if he wasn't healthy.

it's not like it's just the velocity his breaking pitch is flat, lifeless and his changeup, well, yea.
