Hinch a leading candidate for Sox mgr job

I think Rick basically just said Hinch or Cora have to be the favorites.

I turned it on mid-comment but didn't he say: ideally someone with October and World Series success? That really narrows it down to like 2-3 guys lol

Fuck AJ Hinch.  He was a laughing stock at Arizona then he gets handed a stacked team with an intricate system of cheating and he's considered a great manager.  Get the fuck out of here.

He’s too old-chy

Please no. These 2 guys got shit canned for cheating. Why would they want this negative attention.

In my opinion, Hinch didn’t have the balls to end it. Cora was flat-out the ringleader. Hinch, I could forgive somewhat. Cora is pond scum.

Nah. If you don't have the balls to end it you will not have control of your clubhouse. I don't think players could respect that. Being managed by a guy who beat them down by cheating. No. If the sox are serious bout this hinch or Cora shouldn't even be considered

I have no idea if Alomar is actually good or not but:

-Speaks Spanish

-Has been in the Org

-Sexy name that's not an expensive, super-manager

I would like Sandy as an option.

Most likely means coop is on the hot seat....

He was literally fired (not sure if you are watching press releaser).

Sox will probably want someone with a Latino influence.   Wouldn't surprise me if Vizquel's name gets brought back up.

But absolutely NO to Hinch or Cora.

Sign me up for Alomar.

No I'm not. Kinda at work. Only reading what you guys have said. I wasn't even gonna check soxtalk lol

I'm thinking that dugout was kinda a mess. So whole staff including menechino gone?

They’re 100% hiring Hinch and its probably going to happen right after the WS is done.

God I hope they keep Menechino...

Soo sox. Why he's a Fricken spineless clown

I was one of them that was for Ozzie being re-hired but after thinking about it some more and going with my gut, I think we would be better off with someone with some recent October experience. That falls in line with Hinch, Cora possibly and maybe Alomar or any of the coaches with Tampa Bay. I’m excited to see who they bring in!!!

I remember Raul Ibanez getting some buzz last year for open jobs. Wonder if the Sox would kick the tires on him?

Terry Francona: Intelligence, integrity and experience. JR is an integrity buff.

What about Bochy?  2 WS wins, very respectable teams for the most part.

Bochy would be nice, but doubt he's on their radar and not even sure he wants to manage anymore.

What's absolutely hilarious about this is veterans are saying Renteria didn't hold players accountable and how that's an issue, while AJ Hinch literally tried to claim he had no idea what was going on/or what the players were doing during the sign stealing saga in his own clubhouse and dugout lol.

It’s a good thought, but Hahn really went out and said, “recent championship/managerial success”.

Yeah firing RR and bringing in an in house guy like vizquel or jirschele would be totally lame, then you can just as well keep Ricky. Must be a star From out of the org.

If they want more of a tough guy instead of a players friend who can inject more discipline hinch probably would be good.
