i mean they hired him knowing that he was arrested and charged, why would they fire him now?

Shit if we win a playoff game don't let this guy go out and celebrate.

This organization doesn't really deserve diehard fans the way it is run (been thinking this way since the hire reflecting on other dumb shit they've done over the years).

So very true. Desperately need new ownership.

With the Sox knowing, the only way that we're rid of him is if there's a closed door conversation and TLR comes out and says he's made the decision to step away to take care of himself. This won't be a Sox publicly forcing him out - it'll either be backroom deal for TLR to fall on the sword himself, or the Sox are ok with him managing this year.

I can’t even come up with a worse candidate than this if I tried. We hired someone if their late 70s who’s been out of managing for a decade with two recent DUIs?

is this a fucklng company softball league?

Reinsdorf doesn't deserve to own a team that wins. What a disgrace all the way around.

At least we know if he’s in jail for a few days during the season, the players will get to have fun. It will be like when the strict teacher is out and the fun substitute teacher is in.

Fuck Jerry Reinsdorf forever.

La Russa needs to seek help.  He doesn’t need to be managing this team.  The FO (JR) knowing of the arrest and impending sentencing  and still proceeding with the hire makes it exponentially worse.

Unreal. And they hired him anyway.

Conspiracy theory: Hahn leaked this Passan.

I’m beginning to think Jerry voted for someone else but there was fraud and Tony won instead.  It makes more sense than anything else.

“When reached by phone Monday night La Russa said, “I have nothing to say” and hung up the phone”

WTF. This is a dumpster fire!

Hey, now we know why Anderson said they haven't spoken.

You’re assuming JR and Kenny told Hahn

A big PED suspension to one of our stars (no knowledge, just saying it would be fitting)

Jerry sells rights to sox games to Quibbi.

I wonder when he gets behind the wheel with total disregard to others if he’s being sincere about it.

So we have a 76 year old drunk as our manager. Awesome. What could go wrong?
